At the dance we were all having a good time Marcus grabbed my hand to swing me towards dance floor I suspected it was to make it clear to the guys from last week that I’m taken.

As we danced I took the opportunity to discuss a work matter that might get out of control in private but in public he couldn’t make a seen.

Honey, I have been thinking about things and there’s a lot to do at the farm but I have my house commitments to attend to and you have work. I would like to hire someone full time to be assistant manager.

Ok, Caitlyn I don’t want to stay at Bathurst anymore with out you why can’t we stay here I’ll take the kids to school when I go and bring them home.

All of a sudden Caitlyn stepped back Marcus we can’t the kids have after school activities and we never agreed to live together.

Caitlyn were talking now I know it’s soon but I don’t want To wait till next week to see you . we talk about this tomorrow. I’m sure we can figure it out. Caitlyn pleaded. I want her to agree so I agreed to talk tomorrow.

I was talking to Christian and Eric when I noticed Caitlyn walk up to Jerry and ask for a dance. Jerry’s eyes immediately found mine and I smile and nodded. You handled that better then I thought you were going to Eric said slapping me on the back.

I kinder feel sorry for the guy, Caitlyn wants to talk shop with him. She wants something shes knows he can’t turn her down or make a seen here.

While Caitlyn and jerry were dancing and talking another gentleman stepped up asking to dance with Caitlyn I jumped up to head over but stopped when I heard jerry growl she’s taken go ask Marcus it you can dance with his girl.

The guy turned to see me and walked away quickly Caitlyn laughed then went back to her conversation with jerry . A few minutes jerry approached me with his hand out thank you for this job no worries you look after her if I’m not around. I was stern of course Marcus.

I looked over towards the other girls then back at jerry it appears you lost my girl already. Jerry laughed I left her on the dance floor with a young lad. In shock I looked to dance floor there Caitlyn and Daniel dancing together my heart melted.

The next morning Marcus woke as I was getting out of bed stay 1/2 hour more he smiled. Who will cook breakfast stay, I will help you. He said so sweetly I climbed back into bed and hugged him. He grumbled as I started to say I’ll tell you my schedule and you can tell me how we can make it work. Like a kid at Christmas he sat up happy to be discussing this topic.

Ok firstly kids school activities are Monday Ruby has swimming 4-5 and Daniel stays at school for tennis training till 5. Tuesday Hugo has speech from 3.30 to 4,15 Daniel remains at school for sada till 4.30 then goes to speech 5-6 Wednesday Hugo has speech from 4.30 to 5.15 Daniel stay at school for sada till 5 then has speech from 5.45 to 6.30 Thursday Daniel has tennis training till 5.

Marcus you have your sister in law and brother, don’t you understand how lucky you are. And your prepared to throw it all back in there face to shack with a woman who you only met a a month ago.

Well I need time to process to give you the answer but I will not be throwing it back at them they wouldn’t be happy granted they would miss the girls

I having a shower then your helping with breakfast as promised. She said before pressing her lips against mine Caitlyn I groaned as I wanted more then the kiss.

A little while later we were making breakfast we worked well together Caitlyn was relaxed I started to think that’s it Thursday to Monday at Logan Monday to Thursday at Caitlyn’s done I announced I have it sorted

Just then everyone started fluttering in I gave Caitlyn a quick kiss I’ll tell you later. Kid’s breakfast I called we all sat down this really had helped our relationship I must get tony and Louise to come I thought.

I tap my glass gently thank you everyone for coming I am glad I got to meet you all hopefully next time the farm will be running and I can have my brother and his wife here too. Cheers everyone cheer together.

By 2 pm everyone had left Caitlyn and jerry were having a meeting I didn’t need to be present I so I went to check my phone I had left in the room 5 miss calls from Tony.

I called him back Louise answered what’s wrong is Tony ok, there was laughter were in the car are you staying at Logan tonight? Yes why did you call me five times? We’re half a hour away we didn’t want to miss you if you were leaving we have news they echo together ok suddenly I realised I need to tell them about Caitlyn and me so it’s not a shock.

Argh guys I have to tell you something but now before you get here. Ok Caitlyn and I are together yes we know the arrangement bro . No I mean seeing each other in a relationship. Silence filled the air waves finally tony said are you taking it slowly? That was the plan but 4 weeks has been like 4 months we can talk more when your here please just don’t say anything about how quick it is. Ok bro Says Tony.

I find Caitlyn and jerry. Told ya pay up Caitlyn handed him $5 what are you doing here? Sorry to interrupt but my brother and his wife are 15 minutes away and we still need to chat.

Jerry said were done for now Caitlyn I’ll see you in the morning. Bye jerry Caitlyn said before turning to me you lost me $5 I bet you wouldn’t interrupt the meeting

Sorry should I have not told you Tony and Louise were coming. waving her hand in a shoo motion so let’s here your plan she said. I think we could stay at Logan Thursday to Monday and your place Monday to Thursday problem solved.

No, you went from wanting more time together to living together. for starters it’s too soon, second Daniel doesn’t finish school till 5 it mean not here till 7 dinner sower homework then have to be out of here by 7 no way. Another reason for not staying at mine is space there’s no enough not to mention on a Thursday what would you do with the other kids between 3-5.

Marcus looked upset I knew how he was feeling but still I wanted to be careful, what about a semi compromise we’ll all be in Logan Friday to Monday Monday to Thursday you and your girls stay at your brothers on Tuesday and Thursday nights we all go out for dinner and Friday I’ll bring all the kids to Logan. Till the next school holidays.

Marcus wasn’t completely happy but he agreed let’s head up they should be here soon baby. When we got back tony and Louise were standing there.

Sorry have you been waiting long I asked as Marcus introduced us. No just arrived we all went in Marcus handed tony a beer would you like a drink Louise a cuppa would be good I’ll put kettle on normal or chai peeping into the pantry oh chai please I could tell she was like me only like a certain type go sick down take a load off.

Marcus called the kids out Marcus kids hugged their Aunty and uncle while Marcus introduced my kids.

Daniel came to help me put out some snacks I gave Louise her tea then got the kids some drinks. Why are you here I heard Stephanie questions she was 15 she understood if something was different. We have some news Tony replied we will wait for everyone. I quickly grab my tea and sat next to Marcus.

Firstly I have taken up a part time position at the fire station at chief Friday through to Sunday. Everyone was excited. Secondly it’s early but we just found out we’re having a baby.

Everyone was congratulating them except Stephanie I watched to see if she was just processing then she stood and walked out. I held up my hand to Marcus I’ll go.

Just on the hallway steps Stephanie sat crying hey darling what’s wrong. This is good news.

How first we lost Mum 5 years ago now our Aunty is having her own child well loose her. It’s not fair.

Stephanie s Look at me your right it’s not fair you lost your mum if I could bring her back for you I would. But to be upset with your Aunty for having her own child after her life has been put on hold for five years to help your family. That’s not fair

Not wanting her to have her own family while you and your dad have a whole new family. That’s not fair Stephanie I don’t want to tell you right from wrong I think you know that already what I will say is even if your Aunty has her own kids your cousins she will still have time for you. And if she’s not available you always have me i here for all the time.

Stephanie looked at me what if you and dad break up? all the time Stephanie plus your dad won’t let that happen he thinks he would be the one booted to a new room and you kids would stay with me. So it’s sorted we’re family.

Stephanie we may not permanently live together and whilst I have no interest in replacing your mother i truly do think of you as a daughter. Stephanie giggled like when you asked Jason his intention with your daughter. I smiled I will always protect you.

We got up to head in but Louise was at the door Stephanie went up and hugged her I’m sorry I needed a minute I’m so happy for you.then heading in her uncle’s direction to do the same.

Louise stopped me from walking in. Is everything ok? Today when Marcus told us you two are in a relationship and only semi taking it slow we were concerned you both have children to think about. I bowed my head as she continued but after hearing what I just witnessed I’m in awe not only do I think your perfect for Marcus I truly believe Michelle the girls Mum would be happy your with them.

I gave a Louise a hug as I had tears streaming from my eyes when Marcus opens the door his nerves kicking in what’s wrong baby nothing just happy emotional for Louise. He hugged me glaring at Louise I slapped his chest stop it. Go and get them a room key then we’ll go out for dinner
