On the night of mid-April, the weather was still so cold that Jeonghan had to cover his body with an extra layer of jacket. Again, today he has to work, there are no days off yet the money still can not meet his needs. He divides his time well, the night to make a living and morning for school. To the extent that he was punished by his teacher for falling asleep during class time. What a model student, right?
Jeonghan had to work to support his father who became a drunkard after his wife died. It's up to you to call him an ungrateful child or whatever, but he doesn't feel any sense of losing a mother figure. He had never felt affection from his mother, his foolish father was still loyal to the person he called his 'wife', even after what she had done to him. She was involved in illegal activities starting from infidelity, gambling, and many more. With her death, Jeonghan seemed to be resting from the problems his mother had caused.
The reason Jeonghan took the night shift for his part-time work was because of the high salary, and especially since he didn't meet many people at night. He avoids meeting people he knows at school, not wanting people to look down on him. It's been two years since he didn't cut his hair, he didn't care about his appearance because he only focused on fulfilling his life's needs.
Spring nights are rather crowded so Jeonghan decides to take the small road which he usually doesn't take. The residential area is very quiet because many residents move out then sell their land to a contractor who wants to turn the place into a shopping center like in Myeongdong district.
He doesn't know which quiet street he has to take anymore. His heel was in pain although he was only halfway to the minimarket where he worked. Spending most of his time at home makes him get tired easily, used to moving less. After resting for a few minutes, he resumed his walk to work. When he had only taken a few steps, he felt a heavy blow on his temple before his vision darkened.

[Jeonghan's POV]
After I received a hard hit on my head, I lost consciousness. The moment I woke up, I was placed in a dark room that seemed to be a bedroom. Seen from its shape, this is not just any ordinary place. The floor is an expensive wooden floor, there is also a heater underneath. I held my head that felt dizzy, making my vision a little blurry. Many thoughts popped into my head, what was the reason I was kidnapped.
"Hhah-"
Hearing the sound of sighing outside the room surprised me, to be honest, I was afraid to approach the source of the sound, but I had no other choice. Maybe that person will help me get out of this place, I'm waiting for that person to approach the gap in this room's door. If he passes this room, then he won't ask for help. But the person approached this room, so he tried to ask for help from a stranger, he doesn't know if they are a good person or the opposite. He was sure the question would be answered after he asked the stranger.
I saw doubts in the way that person approached this door, so I took the first step and reached for his feet. I was not strong enough to stand up straight, no matter if this method would kill me or save me. I just want this to pass quickly. Turns out the person is a decent-looking man. What I could clearly see was his deep black hair and soft white skin.
"Help-" I asked him.
In an instant, I felt the man's strong hands covering my thin body, compared to his. His voice was very soft when spelling the words yet heavy at the same time, the words that came out of his mouth were a sentence to make me calm. Knowing that this person will save me, I could not think further, because my head feels very heavy. Then, I fell asleep in his embrace.
[Seungcheol's POV]
Today is my mother's birthday, she definitely wants the whole family to come to her birthday party, including Joshua. We could say we have a very bad relationship even for stepbrothers. This is all because of my father who always compared him to me. Therefore, as much as possible I succumbed to him, like letting him take over father's company.
My mind was disturbed at the sound of a pretty loud bang, I immediately put my cell phone into my pants pocket. When I turned my head towards the bed, I found that the stranger I brought home fell off the bed after waking up from his long sleep after three days. The doctor said it could happen because of trauma. His subconscious avoids him from waking up because of the stress he experiences. Psychological problems.
"Are you okay?" I helped him get up and lift him back to bed. His face looks confused.
"Who are you?"
"I was the man who brought you that night. I honestly don't know what happened to you, but your head is injured and you have fallen asleep 3 days after that incident. "
The long-haired man looked even more confused, he saw his fingers. "Which night? Do you know me? "
Looks like something went wrong, noticing from the way he spoke.
"Do you know who you are?"
The man shook his head.
It turns out that this is far more serious than I imagined. That means I can't investigate who the kidnapper is. I rubbed his back as his body trembled. I understand he is shocked by what is happening now. If I were in his position, I would too.
"Calm down, I'll protect you. You better take a nice bath, then we can have breakfast." I rubbed his cheek and smiled, thinking it would help him calm down. "Can I call you 'Hana'?"
He nodded, his smile reminded me of the flowers that bloom in spring.
"You can call me Seungcheol."
"Mr. Seungcheol."
"Yes, Hana."
