I had a feeling she was not entirely sincere when she said she was going to spend the night at Amma's. It didn't seem to me like anything big when I called Amma to confirm from her if Liz was going to be at her place for the night. I had not sounded inquiring because I'd hate to alarm her if Liz happened not to be there and Amma was clueless about her whereabouts.
"I'll stop by yours to say hello to Liz. Is that okay?" I asked her when she picked up.
"Oh? Liz is not coming here to spend the night with me. She told me no such thing. Where did you get that?" She asked.
"Uh..I thought she was planning to come to spend the night with you.. I'm not sure I heard her then, if she is not coming there."
Amma said it was fine and she would call Liz right away to find out if she was
