Chapter 2 Everyone had now dispersed from the spectacle, leaving Dean holding his head in frustration. "i***t! You're so stupid, Dean! What are you going to do now? Damn it! You bastard, Arnold!" he shouted, without anyone hearing. Dean was speechless. He was dizzy and hungry. He immediately looked at the hamburger still lying not far from him. He approached the hamburger and held it. He stared at it with one fist clenched. "What life is this! Why is it so sad? Damn it!" Dean intended to throw the hamburger away again. But the next moment he decided against it. He was so hungry. He didn't even have any money left! He had exchanged his last one for the hamburger in his hand. The next second, he devoured the hamburger without any disgust. He needed to be full now, because he had to think about how to face tomorrow. Unbeknownst to Dean, someone was still watching him, frozen. She hadn't moved from where she stood for a long time. "So stupid!" The woman said, then left. Now news of Arnold and Dean had spread to everyone. Everyone was in a frenzy. They couldn't wait for tomorrow. Would Dean be able to bring Arnold that Bugatti? Everyone was hoping for a miracle. Meanwhile, Dean was still thinking about his life. Would he still be alive tomorrow? He felt so fed up. Feeling his energy recharged, he quickly retrieved his bag and put away the pen Arnold had nearly used to blind him. Then he immediately stood up. He continued to walk, holding his head, which was throbbing and stinging. He was now so dirty, his shirt at this moment stained with blood and dirt. "Oh s**t!" Dean walked through the campus hallways. Everyone jeered at him, but he didn't care. He had been used to it for the past few years. But while he was still walking unsteadily, someone was now in front of him. Someone who always made him smile. For Dean, no matter how bad the campus was, he didn't regret being there, because there was a woman he admired and loved deeply. When he saw her, it felt like whatever pain he was experiencing instantly vanished. The girl, dressed in a knee-length white dress, was so elegant. Dean looked at her like an angel. "Tammy!" "Dean!" Dean immediately approached. "What happened to you?" Tammy's face looked sad when she saw Dean. She immediately grabbed Dean and led him to a chair. "Here, I'll treat you!" Tammy was busy with the medicine in her hand. Seeing this, Dean was happy. Tammy cared so much for him. He wanted to make her his wife right now. He smiled faintly. Dean stared at Tammy, who was now meticulously treating him. Occasionally, she blew on the wound she had cleaned to ease the pain. He was confused as to why Tammy wanted to be so close to him and cared so much for him. Tammy wasn't from a lowly background, either. Her family was one of the most prominent in their town. How could such a beautiful and respected girl be close to him, a worthless loser? Poor and without any advantages? "Why do you keep protecting me?" Tammy was silent for a moment, then suddenly smiled faintly. "Why, am I not allowed to do it?" "I'm poor!" Dean said. "Then?" Tammy stared innocently at him as if she didn't understand what he was saying. "Tammy, will you…" Dean hadn't finished his sentence, but Tammy quickly stood up. "I've already treated your wound!" Seeing that, Dean could only sigh. 'You're crazy, Dean. When you don't even know what your future holds, you can still think about making Tammy your girlfriend! You're truly insane!' Dean thought. "I'm going now, Dean. You should get some rest. I hope you can get past Arnold tomorrow." The woman left. Dean smiled as he watched her leave, and he, too, chose to head to his dorm. Elsewhere, a girl was also holding some medicine she had gotten at the pharmacy moments earlier but had immediately thrown in the trash. Tammy passed her and looked at her blankly. Tammy saw her and gave her a thin, mocking smile. Then she met her friends. "Aghh…so disgusting, I've got that poor person's blood on me. Oh God! I have to wash my hands immediately!" Tammy said, continuing to walk, ignoring the person she passed. "Don't let his poverty virus get to me." They laughed. "If he didn't have such a handsome face, I might have vomited in front of him. I don't know how someone could be so stupid as to love him. But that i***t only loves me. So sad!" Tammy said arrogantly and laughed condescendingly. They left, as did the girl in the black dress and nose piercing. She snickered. "What a hypocrite!" she said. Meanwhile, Dean, unaware, was now in front of his dorm room, and as he opened the door, he was quickly pulled inside by his three roommates. "Dean, what's really going on? Are the rumors out there true?" Davi asked, curious. He stared at Dean intently, demanding an answer. "Yes, Dean, we've heard your news spread across campus. No, not just one campus. Other campuses have heard about it too. You've been a trending topic in just a few hours, Dean. What's really going on?" Eadric asked, just as curious as Davi. Dean remained silent. Meanwhile, Zion could only stare at Dean silently until he finally asked, "What are you going to do next, Dean?" Hearing Zion's words, Dean became a little more sober. He had to think quickly about a solution. "I'll tell you the story later. The important thing now is, help me solve this. Or I'll die tomorrow." Dean gripped his hair tightly again. The three of them remained silent. They couldn't find a solution. Then, in the silence, Davi's words came back. "Are we just going to sit around and wait for the next day to come?" Davi was frustrated to see them all silent like that. At least there was one thing they could do. "What can we do?" Eadric asked. Among them, Eadric still had the upper hand in terms of achievement. So, if Eadric couldn't even come up with an idea, what about them? Davi stood up and sighed. "This wouldn't have been a problem if you hadn't boasted about being the richest heir. Why did you have to say that?" Davi's voice rose slightly. He was truly worried about the man. But he was frustrated by his stupidity in boasting about being an heir. He could have said anything. But why choose a boast that would never come true? Davi continued, "Come on, man, we often joke about being rich. But that boast wasn't for you to show Arnold. You're probably crazy for daring to do it." Dean immediately stood up, "Are you blaming me? I'm lying?" "Yes, you are lying. Are you saying it's all the truth? And if it's all true, then why do we have to think and find a way? Aren't you the heir? Go ask your father for that Bugatti!" shouted Davi. "I'm worried about you, man. We're like brothers. Don't you remember when you almost died because you said that lie two years ago, and you're doing it again? This time, you might not have another near-death experience, but you will die!" Hearing this, Dean became furious and stood up, "If you don't intend to help, then don't. I never asked you to!" Dean quickly walked away! But he was so surprised, in front of the dormitory door, a woman was standing with piercings and a black dress. Dean bumped into her.
