"Mommy, you're coming with me whether you like it or not." Lailah firmly said to her Mom. Her summer holiday was coming to an end and she had to return to Spain by the end of the week. She had informed her Mother her plans from the beginning but the woman had remained stubborn and now here she was saying she had to get permission from the King. There is no way the King would refuse her to go, She had been loyal from the beginning. "Dear, the Sultan will have to give me permission first." "Then talk to him. Or should I?" "No, I will this week." "Mommy we have no time, I've already booked our flight tickets for Saturday. So please, unless you don't want to come with me?" "Ofcoarse I want to come with you. The last four years weren't easy without you." "Then do it today, Mom." Lailah said and sat down in the nearest chair. The last almost two months have been good, Sapphire and her would go out shopping then Sapphire would go meet her now bethrothed. She really loved him although she had made him work for her attention. At first she said she loved him but because it was her step mother who chose him for her, She would make them work for her acceptance. And She had kept her vow, because every time they would set a date meeting, She would agree then postpone it at the last minute. That went on three times and she finally met them the fourth time. The man Fahhad Bin Ashraf was the son of a rich and influential coastal trader, and Sapphire liked him because he was handsome and funny to be around. He always made her laugh and complimentd her on the small things. Their wedding was finally set next year in the month of February. Lailah had assured her friend that She would never miss her wedding for anything, atleast she would walk back to Oman. Lailah was happy for her friend, She also wished she could one day get married to a good man, but first She had to fulfil her dream of having the best job and living in the best house ever. Prince Shaffik had also come to see her and wasn't as bad as he used to be when they were kids. When they met he never teased her like Lailah had expectd, he instead had looked at her from head to toe then complimentd her boldly, 'Hmm, someone had grown some guts,' Lailah had thought. The Prince had then asked her to take a walk and he kept stealing glances at her and asked if She had come back for good. When Lailah told him she was only here for the summer holiday then She would return, he had asked her to stay and that if she wanted work he could help her. Lailah was almost convinced but she had said She prefered to stay in Spain where she was free and comfortable. When Shaffik's mother had seen them together, She had immediately called for Shaffik and ordered him to stay completely away from the troublesome girl. Shaffik had protested for a few minutes but when he saw the look and seriousness on his mother's face, he knew he would bring trouble for Lailah so he accepted not to see her again, which ofcoarse didn't stop him from bumping into Lailah "accidentally". As for Prince Zayn, he made completely sure that he never bumps into or sees Lailah. He wanted to stay away. He had contacted Hamza about the Brumei Princess and his friend had connected them. He had talked with her five times but their conversations always seemed short and forced. When Zayn had checked her social media, he hadn't liked what he saw. She had pictures at the beach in Europe half naked with different men posted there. He had immediately cut off contact with her and told Hamza not to ever soul search for him. That image of Lailah the first day had never left his mind. The day she had her wet hair out with a black shariah that had seemed to be a bit on the smaller side. He always went through the incidence in his mind over and over again. Before and after She had splashed him with water. He had seen the fear in her eyes then she had run off like a Wild animal was after her. Zayn didn't know that he was that scary. He had asked her sister if he looked scary to which she had confirmed jokingly but then had said otherwise. "You only scare Lailah." She had finally said. "Why do I scare her?" he had asked with confusion. That day was the only day they had ever talked since they were children. "She believes you hate her." "I don't hate her." he had Said incredulously. "Don't you?" Sapphire had raised an eyebrow at him, "First you have never acknowledged her existence, when you do and you find out who she is, you freak out and furiously walk away. Then you sneak up behind her and shout at her, what do you expect brother?" "Alright, whatever, I don't really care for her. So let's move on." he had said earning an eye roll from his sister. Then when he had seen Lailah with Shaffik, his guard had gone up and had later asked Shaffik what they had been talking about. He envied Shaffik for being able to hold conversations with certain people. Shaffik had told him they were catching up then later had wondered curiously, "Why do you want to know anyway, you don't like her and you two aren't friends." Zayn had been mad and replied that he had no desire to be friends with a maid to which Shaffik had laughed and compared him to his mother. "Don't you dare compare me to your mother." Zayn had said and walked off. Today they were having breakfast altogether when the King announced that he wanted to employ someone in the Relations department of the Company. "Do we know this person?" Zayn asked. "As a matter of fact you all know her." The Sultan replied. "A woman, God forbid." Zayn erupted. "Watch your tongue boy." the Sultan cautioned. "Who is She Father?" Shaffik asked calmly. "Now, that is the question I expect." "sincer when did you start hiring women in your company?" The Queen asked. "Since I make the decisions who to hire and who not to woman." he said to his wife then turned to his Sons, "This afternoon I'll invite her over to the Palace and we will all meet in the study before lunch." he said with a pleased smile and looked around the table. His daughter dramatically gave him a thumb up sign with a grin making the King laugh. They ate in silence after that and everyone went away after breakfast was done. "I think it's a great idea for Dad to hire a woman. Go women go." Sapphire said to Zayn pumping her small fist in the air. She couldn't wait to tell Fahhad about it. "Don't talk to me Sapphire, I don't want to see a woman right now." Zayn said angrily. "Alright mood spoiler, sourpuss, go sulk in your room big baby." She taunted him at which he just shook his head and walked away. Zayn didn't want working with women, they were brainless and thought only about themselves.
