Ch2

It's finally the last class for the day. For the most part the day went well except at lunch time. I went to Danny's table to eat with them like I have been theses past 2 months when I found out who my mate is. At Danny's table it's him and his beta Jax and his gamma Rick and their girlfriends Stella and Blair. Those chicks hate me a lot and I'm almost sure that Stella is Danny's mate just by the way she always gives me death stares. Jax held his foot out as Mia's human mate Derek was walking by making him fall face first in to his food. When Mia saw what happened she was at the table in less than a second helping Derek up. While Danny's whole table broke in to laugher, oh man Mia was so angry she grabbed Jaxs shirt ready to beat him and I know she could even though she was a rank lower than Jax she was still stronger than him, I'm pretty sure that she could take the beta position from Clarke if she wanted to.

Danny sat there watching to see what his beta would do, he probably thought it was amusing. Before Mia could get a hit on him Eli came up and grabbed Mia's arm, she looked frightened at the way Eli was looking at her. Eli let go and she let Jax go, the 3of them walked away. Jax and his girlfriend were laughing and calling her a coward as she walked back with Eli and Derek to their table.

Danny walked me to my last class when we got to the door he tried to kiss me but I quickly dodged him and went in to my class, being the first one to arrive I picked the desk in the back corner.

Soon the other students come in and take their seats and some talking. The last one to come in is Eli, he looks around and finds a seat....next to me. I watch him from the corner of my eye, trying not to make it obvious. He scrunches his nose making a disgusted look, I'm sure he can smell Danny's sent on me. The teacher comes in and starts his lecture on Human Terminology.

For the past few minutes Eli has been 'pst pst' at me and flicking small pieces of rolled up paper at me until I finally looked at him.

"Why are you with that guy? He's freaking crazy and not the good kind."

I roll my eyes trying to feel annoyed, I know he's bat sh*t crazy and the fact that his parents were killed probably drove him even more crazy. I clear my throat and try to ignore him but he keeps pst at me, I can feel my heart about to jump out of my chest so I swallow hard and try to keep it at a steady pace but I can't with him keeping pst at me.

"You know I'm right, I can hear your heartbeat jumping every few seconds."

"Just stop talking I'm trying to focus..." I tell him trying not to raise my voice, I'm not really trying to focus because I can't stop thinking about Eli.

As soon as the bell rings I stack my books up and get up to leave. I start walking by the other students until someone trips me. MOTHER F*KER!

Eli rushes to me and starts helping me pick up books, I'm careful to not make physical contact with him.

"Haha so clumsy for a witch." Came Blair's voice, I roll my eyes at her comment.

"Yeah what a freak! I can only imagine how her spells go." Stella's high pitched voice is so annoying and she chuckles like a pig, it suits her since she has short pink curly hair.

"Are you okay Jaz?" Eli spoke up.

"I'm fine!" I snapped at him, unintentionally.

"Oh leave the freak alone Eli, she's not worth it. Especially if she's not going to be greatful to a strong alpha that's just trying to help her." Stella says as she runs her fingers down Eli's back.

I say a transformation chant under my breath, I look up at Stella's new face with a smirk on mine.

"Oink oink." I giggled out.

Blair screams pointing at Stella's face, Stella quickly pulls out her phone and opens the camera app to see her piggy face. She starts screaming and crying while trying to cover up her face with her hands and I can't help but to laugh, I look over to Eli who's trying to hold in his laugh.

"Turn her back now witch!" Blair started yelling at me.

"Stop harassing me, it's stupid exhausting at this point and I have better things to be doing." I tell them and to be spiteful I add a little extra, "or someone". I'm almost positive that Stella is going to be Danny's mate, Stella lunges at me knocking me down and she starts trying to claw at me. Eli grabs Stella from the back of her neck and turns around grabbing her from the front now.

"You both should scram now!" Eli's voice doesn't even sound like his anymore, it's deeper and even more attractive. He drops Stella to the ground and they both take off running out of the room while sobbing, I turn around to see a surprisingly calm Eli.

"Jaz...talk to me are your alright?"

"Yeah just another perfect day....thank you for having my back..." I get up and go to reach for my book in Eli's hand, our fingers barely graze each other and I jump back a little. The shock felt amazing, Eli has a smirk on his face full of amusement. I want to tell him...but how? He wouldn't accept me I'm not a wolf.

"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU SO TO STELLA!" Danny comes in running at me, Eli gets in between me and Danny holding me behind him with one hand making me feel these amazing jolts going through my arm, I feel a sensation of calmness washing over me.

"Move it wanna be alpha, this is between me and my mate!" Danny yells in Eli's face, Eli's body tenses up and swings with his free hand at Danny's face making Danny stumble back a few feet. I can see Danny's starting to get frustrated and I find it funny as hell.

"She's obviously not your mate dude get over yourself." Eli tells him in a calm voice. Danny lunges at Eli but Eli catches him by the throat ready to rip it out but instead he tosses him aside as if he didn't weigh anything, Danny lands on a few tables and gets back up.

"Turn her back now you stupid pathetic witch!" Danny yells out, I look to the door to see the two girls. I roll my eyes at them, at his comment, at everything at this point. He looks like he's about to charge at Eli again so I whisper out a chant and turn the piggy back to normal...well as normal as I could. I hear Danny sigh in relief.

"Now come here witch!" Danny yells again at me. I'm about to move but Eli stops me and keeps me behind him again.

"Oh come on Danny, going after Jaz is low. I'm the one who was chocking out Stella, you should be more worried about me." Eli chuckles as he speaks. Why is he protecting me?

"She's my mate! I have a wonderful punishment for her! You can wait your turn wanna be alpha." Danny's voice has changed meaning his wolf is surfacing.

"Don't worry I won't let him touch you." Eli whispers to me without looking away from Danny. Danny throws a desk at us but Eli just grabs it like again it was nothing to him, what kind of training does do? Danny thought it was going to hit Eli but it didn't so he throws another one after another one.

Looks like Danny ran out of desks to throw, he charges at us and Eli quickly picks up a desk and uses it to push Danny off him, I swear they could crush the desk in between them. Danny does a hard shove and makes Eli back in to me, Eli looks upset now, Eli kicks under the desk making contact with Danny's leg making him fall onto one knee, Eli uses this to his advantage and pulls himself over the desk over Danny's head, he shoves a knee in to Danny's back and then bangs Danny's head on the desk knocking him out.

Meanwhile I'm over here just clutching on to my shirt worried about Eli, he looks at me with his kind big green hazel eyes. He walks over to me and reaches out to my arm but I quickly move away, I pick up my books quick and walk past him and a unconscious Danny. I need to get the f*ck out of here. I run past Stella and Blair who's standing in the hallway, I run in to the gym and see the other witches here, Ty and Lorie and Cody and Manny. I'm more of a lone witch...lone wolf? Haha....

"Whew look who it is!" Cody gives me a low whistle. I don't get along with them even though their parents are in the council with my mom, my dad use to be on it....until he was murdered. He was the head of the council but now it's my mom's and I try to live up to her standards which is never good enough.

"You here to slum it with us? Finally ready to join our coven?" Ty asked.

"Leave her be dude, haha she will hurt you and I won't stop her." Manny said to all of them, he's the only one I do get along with, we have known each other since we were kids, he's a attractive guy with his cheesy blond and black mohawk and dark blue eyes. He has a lot of shewolves and vampire girls always fawning over him but he always brushes them off, we are the only witches at the school and the rest are made up of vampires and wolves and a few human mates.

Manny grins at me as I pass by him, I wave at him and grin back, I walk out of the back gym doors to the parking lot and start my walk to my house.
