The witch and the wolf

Ch7

My head is still throbbing but it feels better than when it did before, especially with Eli's touch.

"Jaz?"

"Eli...I'm sorry.."

He grabs me and holds me in his arms. I hope he never lets go.

"I left them, I left the coven, I left my mom. I'm sorry for what happened and I I-"

He cut me off by smashing his lips against mine and I couldn't help but melt into him. I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Don't be sorry beautiful, just please stay with me forever." He looked deep into my brown eyes as I stared back into his beautiful hazel-green ones.

"Eli, I love you."

We walked back to his house and he made us lunch. We talked about how my test went and what happened and how I felt about taking those lives I was forced to take and how I was scared about leaving.

"What they made you do is horrible and that's not on you, that's on them! I can't believe they got 4 vampires and wolves for each of you to murder! I'm sorry Jazzy, but I won't let you even leave the pack land this time, over my dead body."

I'm crying at this point. I should have stayed the first time.

"And I'm not sure if you've heard, but my father was murdered when I was younger and my memories were erased from it and replaced with different ones, just like how my mom erased what happened these past few days, but she told me I was so exhausted that I ended up sleeping all day Saturday."

Eli's face is full of shock and anger, he pulls me in to his lap and nuzzles his face in to my neck, feeling comfortable in his embrace and actually exhausted from using my magic and disconnecting myself from the coven, I feel like my body is going to break apart.

"You should go shower beautiful and take a nap. I'll take dinner up to the room later but I need to go talk with my father."

As much as I wanted him to stay with me, I knew he had responsibilities and I knew he needed to talk with his father.

"Alright, I'll see you soon, right?"

He nodded his head, I got up and was headed to his room, but he pulled me by the arm back into his chest and kissed me.

"You make it hard to let go, but I will be back in a few hours 2 at most, beautiful I promise."

After the relaxing shower I took, I jumped on his bed feeling refreshed. I cuddled with his pillow and inhaled deeply, I closed my eyes and began to drift to sleep.

"You are never going to leave this coven, nor me Jazmine!"

I woke up screaming from hearing my mom's voice. I look around and I'm still in Eli's room and the sun was almost down. I got up and went to the bathroom and splashed cold water on my face, when I looked up at the mirror, I saw my mom. She was angry and yelling. I felt like I was going crazy.

"You ungrateful useless child! You never appreciated anything I've done for you! You disgusting w*ore! You will be coming back. Just see whether you want to or not, you'll be back!" I punched the mirror and smashed it to pieces and my knuckles were bleeding, all of the broken pieces lay around me and I could hear his voice, Eli's voice, but it was so faint.

"Baby don't go back there! It's a trap!" and the voice is gone and panic rises in me. I ran out of the bathroom, out of the room, looking for him everywhere in the house, but I couldn't find him! I ran outside and ran straight to the pack house looking for him, but I got stopped when I was only a few feet in when I got stopped by a big muscular guy who looked like a older version of Eli. I can only assume that he is his Eli's dad, not just by looks but by the power that radiates off of him. I gulp down the lump in my throat, but it's not from fear of the alpha but for Eli's safety.

"Hmm you must be the witch everyone's talking about.." His voice was rough and dull with hate.

"Yes sir...is Eli here? He didn't come back to the house..." I said in a confident voice.

"What do you mean? He left almost an hour ago. What did you do with my son witch!" He grabbed me by the throat. I stayed calm, trying not to show fear as he chocked me. I touched his hand that had me in his hold and burned him quicker than from the wolf in the trial, I feel more powerful? He lets me go and is huffing and puffing at me and he's about to charge at me but I hold my hand up pushing his body against the wall. He struggles to move but I don't budge. A lot of wolves come out from every direction and are ready to come at me, but I use my other hand to hold their bodies and slam them into the ground.

"I did not do anything to him! I am looking for him because I am worried that something has happened to him!" I shouted out, feeling my fear and anger building up inside me. The veins in my hands are starting to turn black and running up to my arms, I let Eli's dad go but not. I didn't break eye contact with him, showing him I was never afraid of him, not even with the rumors I'd heard about him. Eli has told me before that he's a good guy, but from what I've heard from the coven he was not always a good guy and has a temper that is easily triggered, especially when it comes to his family. I remember hearing the coven talks for weeks when Eli's mom had passed away and that he believed it was because of a witch.

"You should never have entered our pack land witch. You are not welcomed here and I promise you that if something has happened to my son then I will burn your entire coven to the ground and make you watch." He pointed his finger at me while he threatened me.

"I'm not part of the coven anymore, I no longer have any ties to them. And I strongly believe that there is something wrong and I need to find Eli now! Now do your mind link thing and see if hes okay please I am begging you Mr. Rue." I could feel all of my anger disappearing and slowly let my grasp on the other wolves go. I could feel a few tears rolling down my cheek. Eli's dad's eyes went from glaring with anger to clouded over, probably mind-linking but he looks frustrated and returns to his normal eye color, a dark green. He stared back at me with angry eyes.
