Rawson "Raw" Thompson woke up to the sound of his own heartbeat, echoing through his mind like a drumbeat. His 25th birthday had arrived, but the excitement was overshadowed by an eerie feeling.
His adoptive parents, John and Elizabeth Thompson, seemed distant. Raw sensed something was amiss.
"Happy birthday, Raw," Elizabeth said, her voice laced with tension.
As Raw opened his gifts, he noticed a letter on the kitchen counter:
"Dear Raw,
Your true identity awaits. Meet me at Oakwood Valley's old oak at midnight. Come alone.
-A"
Raw's curiosity got the better of him. He decided to investigate.
At midnight, Raw stood before the old oak, the moon casting an ethereal glow. Suddenly, his body began to shift.
His muscles expanded, his senses heightened, and his vision transformed. Raw looked down to see his hands had turned into claws, and his body was now covered in dark gray fur.
A figure emerged from the shadows – Ember Wynter, a half-human, half-witch with piercing green eyes.
"You're one of us," Ember whispered.
Raw struggled to control his newfound powers. Ember revealed:
"Your biological family's dark past has haunted Oakwood Valley for generations."
Raw's mind reeled as Ember explained:
"Victor Valois, a charismatic vampire, seeks to exploit your powers."
Raw's determination grew:
"I need answers," Raw said, his voice firm.
Ember nodded. "Together, we'll uncover the truth."
As they navigated Oakwood Valley's treacherous landscape, Raw and Ember faced supernatural threats.
