Chapter 16

1188 Words

Quinn's POV . "Quinn, don't worry about me. I am old and soon will meet the judgement of the heavens." "Don't say that, Nanna. You have a long life, and you will spend a lot of time with me in the future. We will travel the world together, remember? Eat delicious foods, and live life to the fullest." My tears fell as I held my Grandmother's cold hands. At this moment, I want to call her Nanna—an Italian slang for Grandmother. Every time I call her Nanna, it reminds me that somehow she's not just my Grandmother but also my mother. I have no one. She raised me with love and took care of me. She's my life. "Quinn," in her rustic voice. She tried to smile amidst all the pain she felt. I wiped my tears and put my ear closer to her mouth. The dose might have weakened her senses even more.
