Class - who needs it

The next day I had class, as it turns out this city had a lot of history and we were going to a lookout that looks over the city. I was with my new best friend Jasmine who I mentioned earlier. We had met on the first day I was in the class which when we did enrolments. She was a great friend and from around here, so it was much easier to understand everything in the city thanks to her. Anyway, we were going on this trip and I look around the bus and saw Blair sitting in the back corner I thought to myself I swear he was not in this class last week. While I was off in my own head, we arrived at the lookout and everyone was getting off the bus. The teacher was going on about how this city used to be run by vampires and that they were now all gone, I stiffened and looked at Blair who was still relaxed and seemed totally chill, so I relaxed a little and then I heard the teacher say something about a beautiful lady with black wavy hair an how she was the queen and I froze again and went back into my head thinking oh my god they know! they know Tamara is the queen of vampires and that it’s her getting all the vampires, etc.. Though all this time I hadn't realised I was staring at Blair while I was thinking it then he smiled and waved at me and I though oh no tell me I wasn't looking at him the whole time. Then he started walking over to me and introduce himself as if I had not just moved into his home. I thought it odd, but I played along. Blair asked, “Did you enjoy the story?”

I was way too busy ogling the poor guy to notice he had even spoken to me until Jasmine elbowed me in the ribs “huh? Oh umm, I wasn't really paying attention” I looked down and blushed which I could tell Blair saw he just smiled as if he hadn’t caught my eye rapping him and said he'd go over it later with me if I had the time but we had to go. I hadn't noticed we were the only ones not on the bus to head back so we got back on and he went back to his spot at the back and I sat next to Jasmine and she said “OMG who was that he is so hot and every girl in this class is so jealous of you right now and you so have to introduce me next time stupid. I can’t believe you spaced when he was talking to you and OMG his voice is so mellow and” then I snapped “oh Jasmine shut-up.” and she looked at me like I hit her and then I said “Sorry it’s a long story come back to mine and I'll tell you everything” I finished, the next thing I knew was that the bus was screeching to a halt and everyone was being thrown everywhere as the bus rolled it was like a nightmare so I closed my eyes. Then it all stopped just as fast as it had happened.

I opened my eyes to see jasmine on top of me and I knew I had a broken leg and a few ribs but gently pushed her off and stood up and I realised I was already healed I looked for Blair who I noticed was standing too and looked just as confused as me. I crouched down and helped Jasmine sit up and saw blood on her head so I had her leaning against the wall of the bus hoping she didn't have a concision, I looked up just as the door opened and saw someone who looked just like Tamara get on the bus as soon as I saw her is sat next to Jasmine and watched as Blair walked towards her a scowl on his face and asked “Who the hell do you think you are and what the hell do you think you’re doing hurting humans like that!” I then realised this lady was also a vampire but not from the castle she looked at Blair and laughed “Oh little vampire, leave this bus and those on it to me. I am Ruth, I want to make everyone here a vampire because we are the superior race and we should be ruling these creatures not hiding from them. But wait I sense there are 2 vampires on this bus you and one other.” She looked around and I was sitting next to Jasmine hoping she doesn't notice me and she didn't though I didn't know why till she walked to jasmine and said “Humm interesting this one used to be a nun” I looked at Jasmine with surprise written all over my face to see Jasmine was finally awake and that she was looking at me before saying “I only worked there cleaning I wasn't technically a nun but I was baptised and I had to wear their uniform while I was there so I guess I was but I left about 2 years ago.”

I just laughed at her then I shut my mouth because Ruth was watching me and said, “ah ha, you are the other vampire though why do you have such blue eyes?”

I replied “That’s none of your business and don't you dare touch her or you'll find out just what I can do” Ruth just laughed at me and walked away saying

“Oh, I won't touch your precious nun her blood is to pure and would burn me. But this young vampire I will take you.” Then was I on top of Ruth punching her ferociously anywhere I could get her before Blair pulled me off her with ease and I looked at him. He had the biggest smile on his face and said “That's my girl” I wasn’t sure why I had jumped on Ruth and started beating her but hearing Blair say that I was his girl made my heart sore. So I smiled back he then told me “Take Jasmine home and I'll meet you there.” so I went over to Jasmine and picked her up with just as much ease as Blair had done with me and was surprised about how easy it was. Then I was running, faster than any human would ever dream towards safety, towards the castle and towards Tamara.

When I got inside Tamara came running down the stairs with shock on her face as she was told I wouldn't be home till 5.30pm and it was only 2pm then she saw Jasmine was bleeding and showed me to the infirmary. When we got there, I told her everything that happened while she treated Jasmine, halfway through Blair walks in bleeding as well Tamara and I just froze. He gives us a half smile and tells us what had happened after I had left. 7 of the people on the bus woke up and had left with only a few scrapes and bruises but 12 were taken by Ruth. When Tamara heard Ruth's name, she dropped the cloth she was holding but grabbed it again before it dropped too far, as if it had not happened and continued on mending Jasmine like a robot. Jasmine was alright now though she was freaking out about being the only human in a place full of vampires even though the queen assured her that I was still technically human and that she would not be harmed in this castle. Jasmine was welcomed into the castle as if she too were a vampire though no one would change her due to her pure blood.

The next day Blair and I Skipped Class and went on a picnic at the look-out from the day before and he was being so sweet, even the picnic was full of treats like chocolate coated strawberries and Tim tams and other little treats. Then he asked, “Jade why are your eyes blue and not red like the rest of the vampires?” I swallowed the chocolate coated strawberry I was eating and told him what Queen Tamara had told me. “I'm basically still human though I have all the good parts of you guys, I am still alive.” He looked confused but I said “But I can still kick your ass” so Blair and I spent the rest of that date sparing with each other then we went home. The next day we skipped class again and Blair showed me the town and while at the shopping centre we ran in to Dom he looked at Blair then at me then back at Blair and asked if he could tag along we said sure and went and got something to eat. Dom asked, “So why aren't you 2 at class?”

I replied, “We wanted to get to know each other better” and took Blair's hand, at that Dom gave Blair the most horrid look and basically growled at him before saying “I have to get home.” I asked why but he did not reply he was already walking away from us. When Blair and I got home I went to see Tamara to tell her that I though Dom and Blair seemed to be fighting over me and I didn’t know how to handle and with her own feelings involved as well I didn’t want to hurt anyone. Tamara confirmed it as if it were just a normal conversation and that they would all share my affections. I felt so bad until she said, “Jade, if you really want you can have them both as well as me, I don't mind it'll stop the rest of the girls here going after them.” I shook my head at her and said

“It’s not really my place I mean if they both like me there isn’t really anything I can do and it is completely up to you, your majesty as they are your precious boys” I turned to walk away because I felt that I needed some time to thing, Tamara took my hand and said “Jade what is wrong? When we are by ourselves you can call me Tamara and you know this, yet you called me by my title. Is it really that hard a choice?” I nodded and she continued “Ok, well why don't you do as you did today go on another picnic with Blair and I'll see what I can do.” I nodded again kissed her lips gently and walked out without a word.

The next day was the same we went on another picnic though this time the basket was full of fruit and cheese. Again we ended up sparling only this time Dom walked past and saw us, the next thing I know is I'm being lifted into the sky sitting on Dom's hand as If I were on a pedestal as he shouts “WHAT THE HELL YOU TWO?!?” while Blair and I tried to explain we were mucking around he puts me down on the other side of him away from Blair and says “You know what I don't care, I'm taking Jade home. We'll meet you there” Blair looks down, just nods and walked towards his car though he did turn and looked at me before saying “it’s ok, I'll meet you there” I nodded and looked down as Blair drove off. Dom made me look at him by placing a hand under my chin and tilting my face up so that he could brush the hair from my face and he said in a voice slightly above a whisper “What the hell were you thinking? He could have killed you” as he rested his forehead against mine, I shook my head at him and said “No, he couldn't I'm still human but basically a vampire with all you powers which makes me stronger than all the vampires” he looked me in the eyes and said “I don't care if you are stronger, stop putting yourself in situations where you could die” I tried to object but he pulled back and placed a finger on my lips and saying “Shhh, come on. Let us go.” So, we went to his car, got in and left.
