***Dylanne
“Kai…? What's going on?” I asked after what felt like hours.
He held my chin in a clipped position, forcing me to stare into his eyes. He was so close I could feel his breath on mine. His scent drifted through the air; he smelled manly and of old wood.
I closed my eyes, yet I could still feel the weight of his stare.
“If this is about the other night, then don't—”
“Shhh.” He silenced me, placing two fingers on my lips. “You've had time to talk. Now it's time for me to speak.” His fingers found my hair and softly played with the strands.
“Don't think I forgot about your little request that night.”
I gulped. My pulse hammered while he stared at me. He really hadn't forgotten that night, had he? What was he going to do? Was he going to ask me to—
“Deal,” he said.
“W-what?” I stuttered; my words almost failed me.
“I will teach you how to suck a man's cock.” His hands slid to the back of my head and pushed me so close our lips nearly touched. “You're quite stupid around men when you're drunk. I guess we need to fix that.”
I swallowed, beads of sweat running down the sides of my face. My heart thudded in my chest as I took in every inch of what was happening.
This wasn't a dream or some figment of my imagination. This was real life, and Kai was standing right in front of me.
His hands on my body made it hard to think.
“W-what do you mean?”
“What I mean is—” He kissed the corner of my mouth. “I will teach you how to suck a man's c**k. Besides, it'll be easier learning from someone you know.” He drawled, his lips hovering above mine. I tried to breathe steadily, but I felt hot and bothered instead.
Goosebumps rippled over my skin while a churn grew in the pit of my stomach. It wasn't fear, and it wasn't just my anxiety. It felt different, like I needed him to touch me.
“What do you want in return?” I asked meekly.
“A month. One month of dating you.”
I shook my head in shock. “What?”
“You heard me.” He straightened, both hands tucked into his pockets. “I want to date you. I'm offering you one month to date me, and in return I'll teach you everything you need to know to please a man.”
“I…I can't.”
“You don't have to decide now. Take your time.”
Take my time? How? How could I possibly do that knowing the thought would keep pressing at me? Where was he really going with all of this?
Does he really want to date me just to 'teach' me? It sounded ridiculous even as I thought it. I watched him and let him slowly walk away.
“You're joking, right?” I called, and he stopped mid-step, turning his head toward me. His eyes held that mischievous glint and the bad-boy grin that always made my heart do a back flip.
Every single time.
“I don't joke, Dyl. I'll give you twenty-four hours to think about it.” He winked and walked further down the hall.
—----------------------------------------------------
I have done everything I could to forget what happened yesterday at Kai's place. He's like a constant in my brain that I can't shut off for some reason. I can't believe he was serious about teaching me how to—
I can't even say it out loud.
“What about this? How does it look?” Kim asked, stepping out of the closet and looking in the mirror.
I was drunk and I tried to explain that I hadn't actually meant it. Urgh! This is why I don't drink. I end up doing or saying some stupid s**t, and now look where that got me.
“Earth to Dylanne!” Kim snapped her fingers in my face, dragging me back to reality.
“What?” I asked, my tone a little condescending.
She caught it quickly but shook it off maturely. “I'm sorry…was I distracting you? You promised to help pick out a dress for my date.”
“s**t. I'm so sorry. I've just been….”
“Lost in thought? Distracted?”
“Busy. I've been busy with work.”
“Hmm,” she hummed, pulling off her Armani heels and walking to the bed. “What's wrong, Dyl? You know you can tell me anything, right?”
“Yeah, I've just been busy with this client. He's a pain in my ass.”
Literally.
“Urgh! I hate those kinds of people. Rhys said anything yet?”
“No, not really. He wants me to work side by side with him.” And I would kill to stop whatever this is before it's too late.
She placed a hand on my shoulder, rubbing my muscles slowly. Suddenly a smile formed on her lips and she bounced on the bed in excitement.
“You know what you need?”
“Please don't—”
“You need a party. Like a real one.”
“Kim…we had a vacation and a night out before all of this.”
“So?” she drawled in a high pitch. “Parties are fun, especially when you host them.”
She snatched her phone from me and typed quickly on the screen.
“Parties always help me relax, Dyl. And trust me…this would too. Or…we can go out for a little fun? A few drinks with the girls?”
Well…this sounds better. I do need a distraction, something to get my mind off things for a while. At least before I give him my final decision.
“Trust me…the girls would eat it up! So you in?”
And just tonight I don't get to see his face or feel weird just by looking at him.
I don't get to feel regret either. It's a win-win. Maybe I could grow some balls and refuse whatever deal he has.
I looked back at Kim, who still had a smile on her face with a questioning look. I picked up my phone and typed yes, flashing the screen in her face.
“Let's f*****g party, baby!”
