When I walked out of the cell, I was met with worried faces that were now beginning to annoy me. Jason was Thomas' replacement, even though he didn't know it yet. I was getting tired of changing betas and had greatly considered ruling as lone Alpha. I didn't need a beta. Not when each beta I had before either challenged me for my power or brought human hunters to kill my people. Thinking about it infuriated me, Thomas' cup was coming soon, and it would be too bitter to swallow. f**k! I've gotta see Elena. I miss her, and she and Mia are the only ones I can trust now. They're all I have left.
