Chapter 4: Hello Brother

She slowly opens her eyes - Oh my, am I dead ? . She looks around and finds herself in a shabby looking bedroom with a bed that squeaks with the slightest movement.
No ! - This can't be paradise. Was my life so miserable that even the after life couldn't take pity on me .
She sees a young man walk into the room. He has light brown curly hair and the brightest eyes.
" Another kidnap ? " , she says to herself. Father probably sent him. She slowly grabs the fruit knife on the table.
He walks in with a bright smile upon seeing her regain consciousness. He sits down beside her on the bed but she points the knife at his throat.
" Hey hey hey hey hey hey. . . Easy ok . Put the knife down and let's talk . For someone who I just saved her life, I expected a " Thank you " not a sudden death stare and a blade to my throat .
" What do you want from me . . . " , she asks not willing to give up.
He grabs the knife before she could notice. She immediately uses a spell to push him against the wall, but he gets up immediately.
" Looks like you've also got a few tricks up your sleeve ", he says then chuckles .
She remembers she was at a club and a vampire was about to feed on her.

" I'm so sorry for what I did to you ", she says realizing he was the one that saved her .
" Phew . . . Thank goodness you're back to your senses. So I'm Kristan Dominion by the way. What's your name " .
" Umm . . . " , she says wondering if she should say the truth. " Umm . . . The name is Alicia ", she uses the same alias.
" Well, lovely name by the way. Hey . . . Why don't we talk over dinner ", he says and takes her to the little dining room.
He serves her dinner and takes a sit opposite her.
" I don't know how long your stay here will be but we should get to know each other right ?"
" Sure " .
" Ok . . . Umm I'm a vampire, a good one though ", he chuckles
" No family ? ", she asks.
" Umm . . Not really. My parents died. My brother is missing. So I knida eat alone. It's great to have company", he fawns a smile.
" Ohw . . I'm so sorry "
" I'm good , that's kinda like a long time ago. What about you"
" I got seperated from mine at a young age, so I don't really know . . ."
" How about we talk about something else. Like . . . Why you looked so exhausted like someone was chasing you, when you entered the club ", she looks at him speechless.
" I'm kind of observant ", he adds in his defense.
" Umm . . . I was running from an arranged marriage . . . ", she wasn't willing to tell him the whole truth.
" Well, that sucks ", they both laugh.
They finish their dinner and head to the bedroom to rest. She watches him lay some beddings on the floor and lays in them.
She tries to argue with him but it's not yielding much fruit, so she gives up and lays on the bed.
She's overwhelmed by guilt from having lied to him earlier.
" Umm . . . Kristan, you awake ? " , she says
" Yeah "
" Umm . . . The name is actually Elisa, I didn't mean to lie to you . . . "
" It's cool, it's fine. I didn't expect to trust me either. Anything else you'll like to share ? "
" No " , she refuses to tell him that her groom was the Alpha.
The Next Morning
She wakes up early and he does same. He showers and changes into something fresh. Elsia finds herself admiring him. But she quickly brushes of the thought.
" I'll be right back, let me pick you something to change into", he opens the door to leave but suddenly passes out.
Elisa hears the thud and goes over to see what's wrong. Her eyes widen in shock, she blacks out.

POV Elisa
I have a splitting headache and my body is seriously aching. I slowly open my eyes, and I see Vatler's bright smile.
Wait! Vatler ?
I immediately spring up from my bed, ignoring all the pains I initially felt. Bloody Hell, how'd. I get here?
" What am I doing here, get me out of here ", I scream.
He doesn't seem the least fazed by my reaction.
" My Lady, you need to rest. His Highness would be with you shortly ", he says still wearing a smile that starts to creep me out.
No ! His Highness ? Wait, where's Kristan.
" Kristan . . . What did you do to him ".
" No need to worry for your friend, he's fine and safe. For now at least" .
" For . . . Now ? . I need to see him, I'm the reason he's in this mess . . . "
Niklaus enters and shivers run down my spine.
" Hello, Wife " , he says with a smirk as he approaches me.
" Please, I beg you to let me go . . . Let us go "
" Who's he . . . Tell me ! ", he says with rage evident in his already cold eyes.
" He's just a friend, he saved my life " , I say and I see the smirk slowly appear on his face.
" Why don't we go see this friend of yours"
He drags me by the hand as I strive to follow him up as Vatler follows behind us, not saying a single word.
He's probably as heartless as Niklaus.
It take say few minutes til we arrive at a - Dungeon ?
Why the hell would he put him in a dungeon. I feel tears well up in my eyes after I see his condition. I'm well aware that we barely knew each other but he saved my life and welcomed me into his home and for that I am grateful.
" Ali . . . Elisa . . . You ", he stays silent when he meets Niklaus' eyes. I look him in the eye and notice he's trying he's best to conceal his anger.
Niklaus leaves and I silently thank the heavens.
" What the hell, Elisa. You didn't find it necessary to tell me you were betrothed to the Alpha ! ", he finally speaks up, the anger evident in his eyes.
" I'm so sorry, I didn't know how to tell you ", I say as the tears flow down my cheeks.
And Darn ! They won't stop.
" How could you not tell me, now I'm as good as dead. Do you know what he has done ?"
" I know and I'm so sorry ", I didn't know what else to do or say except to apologize.
" Well I'm sorry for my . . . . " , he gazes up behind me and freezes.
" Brother ? ", he suddenly mutters. I look up at who he's referring to - probably another prisoner, I guess. I am shocked as I see who see speaks to . . . .
Vatler ? - " Bloody Hell " is all that can come to mind. How didn't I notice, same last name and they both have bright alluring eyes.
Vatler seems unfazed as he's expression remains calm.
" Brother, I'm so glad to see you . Get me out of here so we could leave this hell of a place. Away from all the lies and deceit ", the excitement evident in his tone as he calls on his long lost brother to come to his aid.
I understood he was referring to me but I couldn't care less. Vatler is his brother ?.
Vatler continues to stare at him, he's expression still unchanged. He finally opens his mouth to say something.
My eyes widen in shock upon hearing his words.
