Chapter 3 : First Encounter

The sight of the man before her renders her speechless. His Azure blue hair and Berry blue cold eyes. The dim lighting in the room blends with his cold features, making him the more alluring.
What am I thinking, I've been kidn*pped and now I think my captor is alluring. Get a grip on yourself, Young Lady. it's probably because I haven't been out in years.
She quickly recalls that Lady Cami told her he wasn't good news.
Is this really my end? All I wanted was a life free from them . . . All I have to do is not offend him right? How hard could that be?
She moves further inside the room and bows. She sees two men but decides to greet the one seated, since he looked more commanding.
" Greetings, Young Master " , she said unaware of his title.
Niklaus immediately recognizes her as his pretty nightmare.
She looks greater in person, maybe she isn't such a waste after. . .
He brushes off the thought and his cold glare returns.
Vatler excuses himself and leaves.
Niklaus understood why she addressed him as Young Master, since she never met the public eye. " That's good " he thought.
" Sit " , he commanded like he spoke to some dog. She sat ignoring his rude attitude.
He decides to use her to get information about her father's shady business and sneaking around lately. His informants couldn't report anything meaningful, that only meant that this time things were so bad that he had to limit his trustees.
" I'm gonna ask you questions, you answer quickly with no questions asked ", he told her.
" What is your father hiding ", he adds without waiting for her to agree to his conditions.
He sure know how to get to the point, father probably sent him to bring me back and here I was thinking he was some noble. He's probably one of my father's lapdogs. Hmph, I'll just have to deny it all.
" I know not, of whom you speak of ", she says.
" No need to play dumb, Elisa ", she looks up at him in shock for a moment.
He knows my name, Father definitely sent him but if father sent him to get me back then why isn't he doing so. already. Does he want to use me as bargaining chip or he wants something more?
" Now, tell me. What is your Father hiding", he asks again clearly loosing his patience.
" I know nothing of his deeds, but he does hold ..... argh ", she suddenly screams, dropping the drink and glass in her hand, they come crashing on the ground. She screams in pain for a while, then passes out. Niklaus stares at her as the entire scene unfolds.
Such a drama queen. Does she think she can fool me with such nonsense. She definitely won't be escaping, since she's so willing to protect her father, let's see for how long she can hold up.
Niklaus calls for Vatler to carry her in his horse and ride her home. They arrive at the Alpha mansion and Vatler places her in a room, lays her on the bed and calls in a witch doctor.
The doctor, Monik arrives and examines, Elisa. She comes out later to inform Vatler on the situation at hand.
" She was spelled, and it's an ancient spell, so I can't track it. She may not remember some specific things when she wakes up".
" One more thing, only an elder witch can perform this spell, but they're all dead. You should really look into it. Someone must have harnessed the powers of the elders or... " , she says and leaves.
Vatler immediately gives, Niklaus a report. And he arrived at the same conclusion that Monik had.
" Either someone harnessed the powers of the elders or there's still a living elder ", he quickly concluded.
" Vatler, look into the deaths of all these elders ", Vatler bows and leaves.
Niklaus goes to see Elisa, he finds her struggling to get up as she groans in pain.
He watches her silently as she struggled, when she finally succeeded, he sits her back down.
" Now give me the answers to my question" , he couldn't care less for her condition.
" Let me go you p*****t, why did you bring me here, you have no idea what I'm capable of ".
He looks at her, his eyes darkening, she notices and flinches. His grip on her tightens.
" Tell me what I need to know, you witch ", Elisa was shocked, he knew she was a witch but didn't care less .
" Don't call me that " , she shouts .
" You do have a lot of nerve, speaking to your Alpha with that tone ", immediately he mentioned he's title it dawned on Elisa that she was doomed.
Elisa suddenly recalls all the things she had heard about him.
How he killed a maid and her child because the baby whined and he couldn't sleep.How he trapped his father and killed his mother in cold blood. He exiled his brother and banned him from casting spells. And no one knows what had happened to his sister, cause even a body was yet to be found.
She would not become a victim.
She suddenly lost her breath, and reflectively placed her hand against her chest.
He stares at her for a while as she struggles and he finally gets sick of it. He sits beside her and draws in closer. He raises her chin so she could stare into his eyes.
" Breathe ", he says. She suddenly feels calmer. She pushes him, once she realized how close they were. " He may be ravishing but he's still a monster ", she says to herself.
Darn ! How could I even think about such things right now. She thinks
" Wh . . . What did you just try to do " , she says totally forgetting the reason she lost breath a moment ago.
He chuckles but there's clearly no humor in his dark eyes.
" Don't get me wrong. You are only a tool ", he tells her looking not the least affected by her sudden change in expression.
He awaits her response, dreading that her father's crimes may be what had gotten erased.
" Speak ! ! " , Elisa doesn't seem to have heard him, she felt like something was missing, she had something to say but she couldn't remember.
She dreads what Niklaus would do to her if he found out he couldn't get what he wanted from her.
The moment he sees her expression, he comes to the realization, that indeed he underestimated the enemy.
He gets up and leaves the bedroom immediately. Elisa heaves a sigh of relief.
Vatler enters few minutes later with maids and varieties of dishes. She stares at them in awe, she has never been served before. She had always been the one doing the chores of her sisters . . . Oh no , step sisters.
" Your meal, My Lady. And please refrain from doing anything drastic, His Highness would be aware ", Vatler bows and the maids leave.
She stares at the generosity of the food. Why so many dishes at once - she asks herself
" My Lady ? " , she wished she was just hearing things.
" Indeed, Your Majesty. You are to be wedded to His Highness ", he leaves before her mind could even process what he has just said .
But she didn't have appetite - who could blame her, she was under the same roof with the most powerful man alive that was to be her husband ? - and he is not a nice one.
No ! - she refused to have her life dictated by strangers.
She gets up from the bed, her leg still feels a little bit wobbly. She makes head way to what she believes looks like the palace entrance door.
She continues slowly and steadily as she notices, there aren't much guards. There are barely any, " he must really think highly of himself", she says to herself.
She manages to go through the gate unnoticed. The moment she crosses the gate, Niklaus smirks.
She runs as fast as she could, she had never ran that fast, not even when she ran from her dad after killing that maid.
She stats feeling dizzy, so she enters the next building on sight and as her shitty life would have it.
She ends up in a club.
Before she could think of leaving, everything turns into mess. Vampires suddenly start feeding and there's a rampage.
She wants to run but she slips and falls. She manages to get up but her path gets blocked by a vampire, with hint of blood still evident on his lips.
He walks slowly towards her and she takes minor steps back until she is backed against a wall. He gets closer and leans in to bite her.
" Argh . . . " , she screams but feels nothing. She passes out before she could realize what was going on.
