The nanny's daughter's smile never wipped, but her eyes sparkled with triumph. "I'll take it," she said, her voice firm and confident. Ashley's eyes narrowed, and he leaned forward, a hint of surprise on his face. "Just like that?" he asked, his voice laced with curiosity. "No negotiations, no trying to squeeze more money out of me?" The nanny's daughter shrugged, her smile still plastered on her face. "Why bother?" she said, her voice playful. "You'd just raise the price anyway. And besides, 150 billion naira is a small price to pay for the Nicolas name." Ashley's eyes flashed with amusement, and he laughed, the sound sending shivers down her spine. "You're a clever one, aren't you?" he said, his voice low and husky. The nanny's daughter's heart skipped a beat at the sound of his laughter, but she didn't let it show. She kept her smile in place, her eyes locked on his. "I know what I want, Mr. Nicolas," she said, her voice firm. "And I'm getting it." Ashley nodded, his eyes never leaving hers. "I think we're done here, then," he said, his voice smooth. "We'll get the papers drawn up, and we can finalize the marriage arrangements." The nanny's daughter nodded, her smile still in place. "I'll be waiting," she said, her voice confident. As Ashley stood up to leave, the nanny's daughter felt a sense of unease creep over her. What had she just gotten herself into?As Ashley turned to leave, he paused at the door and looked back at the nanny's daughter. "One more thing," he said, his voice low and smooth. "I expect you to be ready to move into the Nicolas mansion within a week. We'll have a small ceremony to announce our engagement, and then we'll proceed with the wedding plans." The nanny's daughter nodded, her smile still in place. "I'll be ready, Mr. Nicolas," she said, her voice firm. Ashley nodded, his eyes lingering on hers for a moment before he turned and left the room. The nanny's daughter let out a deep breath as the door closed behind him, her heart racing with a mix of excitement and nerves. She had just sold herself to the highest bidder, and she wasn't sure if she was making a deal with the devil or securing her future. Either way, she was committed now, and she would have to make the best of it. The phone on her table rang, breaking the silence. She picked it up, and a soft voice spoke on the other end. "It's done," the voice said. "The plan is in motion." The nanny's daughter's eyes narrowed, and she smiled, a hint of determination in her voice. "Good," she said. "Let's get ready for the game to begin."Let's call her Samantha. Samantha watched as Ashley left the room, a mix of emotions swirling inside her. She had just made a deal with one of the richest men in Nigeria, and she wasn't sure what the future held. As she stood up to leave, her phone rang again. It was her best friend, Chima. "Hey, girl! How did it go?" Chima asked, her voice full of excitement. Samantha smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. "It's done," she said, her voice low. "I'm going to be Mrs. Nicolas." Nelly squealed with excitement. "Congratulations, Samantha! You're going to be a billionaire!" Samantha laughed, feeling a sense of uncertainty creep in. "I hope so, Nelly . I really hope so."Samantha's phone conversation with Chima was interrupted by a knock on the door. She smiled, expecting it to be the driver Ashley had promised to send for her. "Come in," she said, and a cheerful voice called out, "Knock knock! It's just me, Mrs. Thompson!" Samantha smiled, recognizing the voice of the housekeeper who had been like a mother figure to her since she was a child. "Mrs. Thompson! Come in, come in," she said, beckoning the older woman into the room. Mrs. Thompson came in, her eyes shining with curiosity. "So, what's all this I hear about you marrying Mr. Nicolas?" she asked, her voice full of excitement. Samantha sighed, feeling a bit overwhelmed. "It's a long story, Mrs. Thompson," she said, shaking her head. "But basically, yes, I'm going to be Mrs. Nicolas." Mrs. Thompson's eyes widened in shock, and she rushed over to hug Samantha. "Oh, my dear girl! You're going to be a queen!" she exclaimed, her voice full of pride. Samantha laughed, feeling a sense of uncertainty creep in. She wasn't sure if she was ready to be a queen, but she was determined to make the best of it.Mrs. Thompson's excitement was contagious, and soon Samantha found herself caught up in the older woman's enthusiasm. As they hugged, Mrs. Thompson whispered, "You deserve it, dear. You've worked hard for this." Samantha smiled, feeling a lump form in her throat. She had indeed worked hard, and it was nice to have someone acknowledge it. As they pulled back, Mrs. Thompson began to fuss over Samantha, straightening her clothes and smoothing her hair. "You need to look your best for Mr. Nicolas," she said, her voice firm. "Let's get you dressed and ready." Samantha laughed, feeling a sense of excitement build up inside her. She hadn't felt this way in a long time. "Okay, Mrs. Thompson," she said, smiling. "Let's get ready." Just then, the doorbell rang, and Mrs. Thompson nodded. "That'll be the driver," she said. "I'll get it." As Mrs. Thompson left the room, Samantha took a deep breath, feeling a sense of anticipation wash over her. She was about to embark on a new chapter in her life, and she wasn't sure what to expect. But one thing was for sure - she was ready to take on whatever came her way.Mrs. Thompson returned with the driver, a tall, burly man with a friendly smile. "This is Joseph, ma'am," he said, introducing the driver. "He'll be taking you to Mr. Nicolas' estate." Samantha smiled, shaking Joseph's hand. "Nice to meet you, Joseph," she said, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She was glad to have someone familiar with her, even if it was just a driver. As she followed Joseph out of the house, Samantha took one last look at the only home she had known for the past few years. She felt a pang of nostalgia, but she pushed it aside, focusing on the future ahead. The drive to Mr. Nicolas' estate was a blur, with Joseph chatting amiably about the traffic and the weather. Samantha smiled and nodded, her mind elsewhere. As they approached the estate, Samantha's eyes widened in awe. The mansion loomed before her, its gates grand and imposing. She felt a sense of trepidation, wondering what lay ahead. Joseph caught her gaze in the rearview mirror. "Don't worry, ma'am," he said, his voice reassuring. "You'll be just fine." Samantha smiled, feeling a sense of determination wash over her. She was ready to take on whatever came her way.As they drove through the gates, Samantha's heart skipped a beat. The mansion was even more breathtaking up close, with its white marble facade and perfectly manicured lawns. Joseph pulled up to the entrance, and a uniformed butler opened the door for her. "Welcome, Miss...?" he said, his voice polite. Samantha hesitated, realizing she hadn't thought about what to call herself now. "Samantha," she said finally, deciding to stick with her own name for now. The butler nodded, his expression unreadable. "Right this way, Miss Samantha," he said, leading her into the mansion. As they walked through the grand foyer, Samantha's eyes widened at the opulent decor. She had never seen anything like it before. The butler led her to a large study, where Ashley Nicolas sat behind a massive desk. He looked up as she entered, a hint of a smile on his face. "Samantha," he said, his voice smooth. "Welcome to your new home." Samantha's heart skipped a beat as she met his gaze. She wasn't sure what to expect, but one thing was for sure - she was in for a wild ride.
