“Where is she?”
“Deer Valley. Not far from her house. And she’s on the move. I can keep pinging her as long as the phone stays on.”
“Got it. I’ll call you once I’m in the area.”
Rodeo and Zahara walked in with bags of food from Mel’s. “No time to eat, guys. We got a lead.”
They reversed course, and we ran to the parking lot, climbed into our separate vehicles, and headed up the Black Canyon Freeway.
Thirty minutes later, I turned onto Deer Valley Road with Rodeo and Zahara behind me. I called Becca and put it on speaker.
“Where is she?”
“West Apache Lane, just past Fifteenth Avenue heading east. She’s not moving fast. Keeps stopping for some reason.”
I drove south past Rose Garden Lane and turned east onto Apache Lane, scanning the road ahead.
