I picked up coffees for Becca and me from the Tres Leches Cafe across the street from the Hub. She showed me the videos that she had gotten ahold of. Not only the store surveillance and the one the witness took on her phone but also the scene from the movie that Naomi Hoffman had used to create the deepfake.
I loaded them up onto the video-editing program on my laptop. While I wasn’t an experienced editor, I could cobble together the videos into a coherent whole and do some recording of my own. And that was exactly what I did.
The final product wouldn’t earn me a Peabody Award by any stretch. But it proved that Blair Marshall was a violent transphobe who took the law into her own hands and attacked an innocent transgender woman. It further proved, with the clip of the original indie
