The morning was made with rushes kept at all angles. Adeola, let’s go out now to mum and dad, we are set for church already. Favour still clinched to the mirror checking out her face and her outfit while Segun patiently waiting, sat on the bed adoring his wife. After a while he spoke up; honey, this is past eight and we are running late for church. Don’t worry honey. I am set already she said without taking a step away from the mirror, instead she picked up her blush brush to have a little more touch on her face. Finally, they all break out of delay. Immediately Tayo sets his eyes on Ibukun, his view changed for a while that he got lost in imagination. It became only Ibukun and him walking to the altar as they both were dressed up in wedding dresses. The room was white with a sparkling of stars. Ibukun smiled relentlessly having a glance at her husband to be as her gown sweep the floor of the church. Tayo in his blazers held is wife with so much calmness and confidence that his love could be told and expressed by the grip. Tayo!!! Segun called out; get the gate let’s go to church we are late. Segun drove outside. Tayo locked the gate from behind then hopped into the car. They all headed to church. Brother Tayo something seems to be bothering you these days, or is it, Adeola paused then smiled at Tayo. Or is it sister Ibukun? Tell me, I can help you woo her. That is not a problem for me. You just give me the go ahead. Tayo starred at Adeola for a while, he got short of words like his tongue got glued. Go and get me your mathematics text book, you have a lot to learn today. Brother Tayo, I just finish reading my book and that is why I came out to play. What type of little witch is this girl? She keeps taunting me with this predicament, but what do I do now? Tayo thought within himself starring at Adeola with a side look. So you are telling me you’ve known all inside your book? No, Brother Tayo, have you forgotten? That what? Tayo answered with a squeezed face forcing out a smile. All work no play makes Jack a dull boy, she smiled devilishly. Tayo got frustrated but did not want to show it, I have been feeling weak since early this morning I need to rest. Let me have a little nap, go and play with Ibukun. Ibukun came outside to get some fresh air while she burst into the little witch. Sister Ibukun thank God you came outside, I was just coming to call you in your room. To my room, for what? She shrugged with a long face. I have been so bored so I want you to play with me. Why are you not playing with Tayo today? Hmmm, she placed her hands on her waist; that is a long story, but don’t worry I know what to do about him. But Sister Ibukun, what’s up with your love song these days? What do you mean by that? Can’t I sing love song in peace in this house anymore? Yes you can, but what will you say then about you mistaking me for Brother Tayo more than Three times? As small as I am, moreover, I am a girl and not a boy. How is that possible for you and are you sure it has nothing to do with your love song? She smiled devilishly. Ibukun immediately covers her mouth looking towards Tayo’s door. Shut up, what do you know? And like you said, I mistook you for Tayo’ it is just a mistake. I know you love your baby, but does your baby know that you love him? What do you mean by that? Ibukun got confused. You, leave it to me I know what to do. What is this little witch planning this time? Ibukun felt very uneasy. Adeola walked away feeling bossy. Ibukun still confused about what Adeola had said to her; but to be sincere, this girl is right. I have been finding it difficult to get Tayo out of my head, but how did this little girl notice me that much? As she was thinking, Tayo walked up to the tap then he saw her at the corner she was sitting lost in thought; well done Ma, he greeted with a smile. Ibukun snapped out of thought; oh Tayo, it’s you, how are you? What is wrong with you, and why are you sitting here? Nothing oo, just taking fresh air here. Hmm, that is cool, but I want to tell you something they both echoed. You go first they echoed again. ‘Na once man dey die’ tayo sighed; I think I like you, no, I think I have fallen in love with you a mawkish look was wrapped all over his face as he glance more affectionately into Ibukun eyes. And these have been bothering me for months now. You remembered the dream I told you about that day? You were the one I saw in my dream. Ibukun was shocked by what she heard because that was exactly what is bothering her. This is just the same thing I was about to tell you, I have been longing to tell you but I can’t bring myself to tell you. The little witch popped out from the flower she hid herself. I know you both will confess to each other she smiled devilishly. What are you doing here? I thought you had gone inside to sleep. I have an unfinished business how can I go and sleep ‘a businessman will not let his business go down the drain’. Few months past, the bond grew strong and embraced with so much love, respect and affection. You make my heart stop and start for a while and at times, my heart beats so fast like it is going to run out of my mouth anytime I see you, Tayo caress Ibukun hands as he smiled and blush lavishly after his words. You too, at times you are cold and at times you are very warmhearted, you captured my heart to the fullest that I think of you every moment, Ibukun’s blush gets the best of her. Ibukun, seriously I was scared of telling you how I feel about you instead, I confess it to you ironically. Hmm, is that true? That is the reason you speak in parable. Oh, now I get. You too, are used to doing the same. They both laughed. Evening sets in. Tayo was listening to music with his head set while he set his eyes on Adeola. Hey you, come here, Tayo ordered Adeola. Adeola walked sluggishly to him; good evening Brother Tayo, her face was looking sober and she feels latent. Tayo smiled thinking he can pick at her seeing her in that state but unknowing to him, it was all part of Adeola’s plan. Were you just trying to avoid me? I am sorry brother Tayo. Don’t worry about that, but what is wrong with you. Hahaha, Adeola burst into laughter; I got you, Tayo got confused and shocked at the same time. I knew you were going to call me and now, here I am what is it you want to tell me she walked in circles. Tayo was short of words, have I not landed myself in a mess right now with this little witch? He said to himself. What do you mean by what it is I want to tell you? I don’t have anything to say to you. Brother Tayo, she smiled bending her head and looking upward to Tayo’s face. Are you sure? Ok then, it seems to me you have relented in singing your love songs for the past few months particularly the ‘I love my baby’. Is it because your baby has finally known you love her and you have confessed your feelings to her? She smiled devilishly and glance at Tayo’s face strictly. Adeola, Tayo shouted. I think you know too much than your age. You need to read bigger text books I mean higher class. I was going to do that anyways, but I am just happy my plan worked out. My work here is done here. She dusted her hands and walked away bossily. Embrace with lots of love but all seem as the embryonic. The three wise one sat in the garden while the youngest needs to settle some of her undone works. Are you done with that? Tayo asked Adeola. I am almost done with this but you have to put me through in this she pointed at the book, she was so small that she barely gets to the top of the table to write. Suddenly there was a familiar horn sound at the gate. Ibukun, you continue with her let me see who is at the gate, he rushed to the gate. Welcome ma, Tayo greeted bowing his head as he talks. Favour highlighted from the car with Toby Seun’s son which after Seun highlighted also. Ha, Ma, you did not return with your car. Yes Tayo it has a little fault that is why. Toby immediately rushed to where Adeola was sitting, Adeola tries to hide her books but they were too exposed on the desk. Adeola, why are you just doing your assignment? I slept off when I came back from school because I was so weak she yawn. You are indeed very lazy. Sister Ibukun is even helping you with your assignments. No she is not helping me, I did all these myself, this is the only one that seem very difficult and why are you talking as if you did your assignments yourself? Because I did it all by myself, he shrugged. Tayo smiled devilishly, oh so you also have a superior. Seun and Favour looked at themselves and laughed as they walked in.
