30 ENZO Just when I decided to go in after her, I noticed three females exiting the front of the bar. I’d been circling the block all night, in case Tessa got any bright ideas about going rogue and ditching our carefully thought-out plan to keep her safe while she met with the girl. The three of them headed East, away from my car, and I recognized my girl in the middle. The young woman to her right threw an arm around Tessa’s shoulders, which struck me as strange. I followed them in my vehicle, a suitable distance back, and parked outside the two-story warehouse which they entered. Tessa was out of sight, and that wouldn’t do. I parked my car around the corner and clung to the dark shadows of the building, careful not to be identified by the security cameras pointing at the sidewalk.
