Joleen was not prepared to wait for an answer. “Belyn!” The powerful voice seemed too loud for her lithe woodlander frame. “Come over here now!” He watched her staring into his eyes, several of the tribesmen hurried over in the background. “It is Keldron. He has done something. What did he do in there?” “He was right behind me, just writing some notes.” Keldron saw the face of his long-time friend stare at him for a moment before moving out of the way. Malcolm, the near-giant of a man who had been the landlord of the only inn of the Forest of Merdon and had been a rock so many times, peered closely at him.
