Nick thought it would be best to turn on his police scanner as he headed home for the night. Since leaving the station, he’d stopped every homeless vagrant up and down Hollywood, Sunset, and Santa Monica Boulevards; flashing the mug shot of Raymond Cobb taken only a few days before.
