Zuri Things were awkward at breakfast with Ayanne, but they slowly transformed into something more polite. Neither of them really opened up much. Then their mom came over with Brady, which was nice. It was nice to formally meet the man and congratulate them on whatever they were. They said they were second chance mates, but no one was feeling that anyway—well, apart from Zuri and Brandon. Brady was friendly, showed lots of pictures of his granddaughter and other “grandchildren,” back home. The ones Zuri’s mom delivered.  Quite the small world. Zuri wished her mom had met Brady a long time ago. He probably could have helped save her a lot of heartache from what Edgar had been doing all over the world. He was truly a sick man, but a sick man with many connections with nefarious people.
