We are stationed a few kilometers away from Khlan’s hideout.
I stand near the edge of the temporary camp, eyes fixed on the dark outline of the hills ahead. Somewhere beyond them, Khlan is breathing. Walking. Doing things to Sara I can't even bring myself to think of.
We found the place through his wingman. The bastard cracked faster than I expected.
Around me, the area buzzes with activity. Boots crunch against the gravel. Men gather around a table, going through plans for entry. Weapons are checked, then checked again. The tech team runs back and forth, adjusting earpieces, loading gadgets, testing cameras and bots for glitches.
