Sandra slams her fists on the table and then stands, both palms pressed to the side of her waist. "So we've three days to prove Lily and Jason are manipulative liars and cheats or Sara can kiss her entire career and life goodbye?"
"Yes," Alex says staring into an empty space, legs crossed, an elbow resting on the arm rest of the sofa he sits on.
The meeting had ended minutes ago and Sandra, Jake and I had proceeded with him to his office.
He continues. "If there's one thing I'm sure of my father, it's doing well to fulfill his promise. If in three days we're not able to round this s**t up. He wouldn't bat an eyelid in using Sara as the sacrificial lamb."
I swallow.
Sandra nods softly, "So we need to come up with a plan."
"Yes," he mutters, "And fast."
A pause. Sandra sighs
