If a man of his authority could be described as squirming, then that was exactly what Douglas Ryan was doing at this precise moment, as he faced the three men who sat stony-faced across from his position behind his expansive desk. Despite the warmth of the sunshine that flooded into the office through the large windows, the atmosphere in the room was decidedly frosty.
