I hadn't made a personal visit to my father in months. I only ever saw him at public events as the Beta. I wish I could have brought Aniu so I could introduce her to my father before I leave for the new assignment Cyrus gave me today.
I wish he could know I had found my mate and seen me with her once before I went on a mission that I might never come back from, but there wasn't much I could do about that, and he would understand. The most important thing to him, had been his mate.
