I wake up from a dream where I'm too close to a bonfire, and I'm not surprised to find myself overheating in Colt's arms. Colt is still sleeping, and I need some time to wrap my head around last night, so I don't make a move and decide to keep on sweating. I can't believe I said it. I love you. The last time I said it was to a nanny years ago, and she died soon after. I thought I had learned my lesson, but here I was putting someone in danger again. Even worse, I almost marked him. I'm hoping he thought my biting him was just to keep myself from screaming, but it wasn't just that. I felt a pull, stronger than I ever had before. I wanted to be him.
