“you are here finally, I thought you too will ditch me on my birthday.” I ran to the entrance as soon as I saw Cat coming in. I noticed she had a friend with her. I told her to bring any friend if she wants. To be honest I didn’t know she had a friend as pretty as her. All her friends I could remember were the nerdy and plain kind. But the girl standing beside her didn’t fall in the category.
“stop nagging and let me hug you first.” She said while I was busy checking out her friend. “happy birthday big boy.” She hugged tightly. I was trying to be in the moment but my stupid eyes kept going to the person next to her. They were helpless.
“Thanks, sister…” I patted her back. “who is this pretty girl by the way?” I finally asked, not able to contain the question anymore.
