As soon as the words leave my mouth I regret telling them , she gasps in horror and I can see clearly on her face how much my words have hurt her. I didn’t mean them , though , but I always lash out to people when I get this angry , I open my mouth to say something but nothing comes out , and time seems to have stopped.
I glance at the people around me and see the disapproval look Nate is giving me , and the anger on the waiter’s face , he places a protective hand on Lucy’s shoulder when she starts sobbing , and I rush forward ready to rip his f*****g arm out of my girl , but Nate stops me once again.
“ Lu, I am sorry , I didn’t mean that you know I don’t think about you in that way, ” I tell her and her bottom lip starts quivering.
