Staring deeply into Julian's pleading eyes, Luna feels as though a heavy, invisible hand has suddenly clamped down directly over her heart.
"Just come inside first," she murmurs, her voice losing its edge.
She turns back to the door, pushing it open and stepping into the dark apartment. Before she can even kick off her heels, a pair of strong, familiar arms wrap securely around her waist from behind, pulling her flush against a warm, solid chest.
