Problem on Valentine's day

Episode 3

Cassandra felt like this was the most expensive joke she have heard in a while. She smirked even though she felt angered and pained by his words.

"Because you're sorry? Sorry for what?"

Obadiah leaned closer as if he wanted to kiss her and whispered, "I'm sorry for you. You're living your best life aren't you? I'm sorry to see you've fallen so far"

Cassandra clenched her fists in anger and gritted her teeth. She wanted to slap this man but tried restraining herself to avoid another controversy.

She really wanted to be on set after a long time.

"Obadiah please leave"

Obadiah smirked, "I was the one that dropped Alice and I thought it will be absurd to come without saying hello to you my barren ex wife. I heard that my Alice is getting the female lead and you're her maid so, do well in serving her pauper!"

Obadiah walked past her to the door wanting to leave the room. The word 'pauper' that he just said echoed in Cassandra's brain so much that she turned him around and slapped his face with anger without minding what might happen.

Obadiah held his cheek, "How dare you Cassandra"

"I don't care if you're going to imprison me this time but, Listen here Obadiah Moretti, you became this rich all thanks to my fame. Or did you want me to remind you the story of CM the top star who was dating a low class accountant? I made you a billionaire Obadiah!"

Still holding his cheek, Obadiah replied, "Cassandra you...."

"Yes! You met Alice for the the first time when I took you to meet my family. Both you and Alice, you're this big because of me! I was the one that brought Alice to Film industry! I used my influence as a celebrity to make you a billionaire and now you can call me a pauper?" She asked this time, tears is running down her face uncontrollably.

Obadiah was silent and watched her cry.

She opened the door and said before leaving, "I'll get the female lead of this drama and make your so called Alice my maid just like she was!"

After she had left, the audition started in earnest. Many actresses tried thier best in auditioning for most of the roles there.

When it was Cassandra's turn, she walked to the stage majestically and introduced herself.

"Which role are you auditioning for CM?" The scriptwriter asked.

Cassandra looked at Alice who was still in amongst the other actresses and said smirked before replying, "The female lead"

Everyone was surprised. They looked at each other with surprise. The director was the first to talk as he asked.

"Did you know what it means if you're the Female lead of this movie?"

Cassandra nodded, "This is not the first audition I'll go and this movie is not my first female lead roles, you know who CM is, don't you?"

The director kept quiet. Who didn't know Cassandra Morgan in her time? She's a popular actress that everyone wants on thier movies. Her price is very high then and she never auditions for any roles because she's the female lead.

But now the career had hit the rock.

Without waiting for what they'll say, she set to work to display her talents. Everyone in the room is very mesmerised by her elegance and demeanor while auditioning.

As she walked on the stage and act like someone that lost someone, the crew members can't help but be mesmerised.

Their scrutiny weighing heavily on her. Cassandra could imagine what they are thinking, But she stood her ground, her determination unwavering as she awaited their response.

Before coming she didn't have the intention of aiming for the female lead, just some character that could earn her a cent or two. But remembering how everyone speaks so highly of Alice, how Obadiah called her Alice's maid, her determination soared.

"Becoming the female lead of this drama will bring back my lost fame" she thought.

As Cassandra stood before the assistant director and scriptwriter, their scrutiny felt like a spotlight bearing down on her.

But she remained undaunted, her confidence unwavering as she presented herself as the solution to their casting.

They studied her intently, their eyes taking in every detail of her appearance.

Irrespective of the low quality dress she was wearing, Cassandra exuded an air of elegance and pride that made everyone wonder how she would have looked if she was wearing a better one.

Her full lips and souless eyes added allure to the character she was potraying as a woman who lost something.

What the crew members didn't understand was that the situation is observed at a close distance by the producer of the movie.

As Cassandra was bantering words with the crew members, the young man in the corner can't help but smile. After her display, she left the stage then Alice also appeared and have her own performance.

After a while, the actresses were called over, the results of the audition is out. Like everyone, Cassandra was also praying silently in her mind. While some ladies are already praising Alice.

The director began by announcing the extras and other roles Including the male leads.

Then he said with the best of his voice, "We have concluded to give CM a trial for the... For the female lead role while..."

"What are you saying director? CM is the female lead of this multi-million film project?" Alice shouted from where she was sitting.

The director adjusted his Harry Potter doppelganger goggle before replying, "The producer is handling the casting, I don't have much say in it"

She dropped the script in anger, "I will not take this director! If CM is the female lead then I'm not working on your project!"

There was an uproar as most Actresses in the room disagreed to the casting result.

Cassandra felt very happy. She was beaming with smiles as she heard this news.

The director walked up to her amidst the uproar, "We're risking alot by casting you CM, the producer speaks so highly of you so don't disappoint us. Show us that you're worthy of this role and make your comeback with this movie"

Cassandra smiled as she exchange hugs with the director.

When the director and everyone had left, Cassandra also walked out of the audition room to leave when Alice stopped her.

She didn't ignore her instead she faced her, "Are you trying to rehase with me right now?"

Alice's face reddened as she stepped closer to Cassandra, "You think you're better than me because you're the one that link me to film industry? You think you can just waltz here and steal the lead role? Confess CM, how did you change the producers mind?"

Cassandra didn't reply instead she let Alice push her all she wants while she submitted to her bullying.

When Alice realized that she wasn't responding, she slapped Cassandra hard on the face.

After the slap, Cassandra smirked, "Good move Alice, you have successfully dug your own grave" then she pointed to the CCTV camera at the corner of the room.

Alice's eyes widened but before she could say anything, Cassandra had left.

As she got off the car, she was about to punch in the passcode when a car stopped before her house.

Cassandra was surprised because she hasn't had a prestigious guest for a long time.

She stood by the gate and waited for the occupant of the car to come out. After what seems like ages, the driver came out and ran to the owner seat and opened the door.

The passenger at the owner seat came out. Cassandra's eye widened.

He walked up to her and stretched out his hand with a pleasant smile.

"Hi CM, I'm Kenneth"
