Kate wasn’t so confident anymore as she sat opposite Brandon. Every confidence she gathered while coming up had disappeared through the window. They were currently engulfed in a rather uncomfortable silence—as chaotic as a lovers bawl. Kate was the first to break the silence.
“Hey”, her voice came out softy.
Brandon’s attention was instantly fixed on her, his ice-blue scrutiny sending a shock wave through the entire length of Kate’s body.
