CHAPTER 3 “Oh my God, where am I?”, Evelyn questioned herself while trying to soothe her throbbing head. She looked around confused. Where was she, she thought. It took awhile before she realized where she was. The interior of the room seemed to capture her interest. Decorated with flowers arranged which caught her interest. White paints on the walls and a queen sized bed. The room was unlike anything she had ever seen before. Cream-colored walls reflected the soft morning sunlight pouring through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Fresh white lilies and roses sat elegantly in crystal vases around the room, filling the air with a faint floral fragrance. A grand chandelier hung above her, while silk curtains swayed gently in the breeze coming from a slightly opened window. She thought how descent it was and had a feeling of home. She had imagined her mom walking through the ceiling tall doors and giving her a warm hug. She felt at peace for awhile but reality came crashing in fast enough. She remembered all that had happened. Her engagement, Lucas and May but she couldn’t really remember how she had reached this room. She stood up and searched everywhere. The wardrobe, the bathroom everywhere but found nothing. She looked down and her clothes weren’t the same. Fear gripped her.” Have I been defiled?” Evelyn broke down in tears. She just sat on her floor with her hands on her laps. She had lost everything. She raised her head high and saw a note on the table “Please take some meds and drink the water”. There was no name and no signature nothing. “Who brought me here?” She wondered. She glanced and thought if she should run or stay. She had nowhere to go to besides so staying won’t matter. She left the room with the door open. She wandered down the hallway searching for something but all she could take notice off was the interior details. Every tiny detail caught her attention. She had never seen anything like that even at her home and that of her elite friends. Something just caught her attention. She wandered mindlessly and walked into the kitchen and then her stomach began to rumble. She was met with a jolly lady. “Hello” she greeted “Oh Ms Evelyn you’re awake. How was your night. I’m Mrs Bubbly. Master Alias would be happy to talk with you.” Evelyn just stared. She was trying to understand what Mrs Bubbly was saying. “Who is Alias” she asked Ms Bubbly stopped talking and stared at her. “You dunno who he is “ she responded Evelyn just stared. Mrs Bubbly laughed. ALIAS POV “ALIAS, what did you do. Sarah! Sarah! Sarah! Sarah! Please wake up Sarah. Please wake up. Sarah baby! Please wake up!” And then I jotted up awake . Beads of sweats dripping down my body . That days still haunts me like yesterday. I couldn’t sleep at all. Regardless of the the medications and all the checkups nothing really works. I only relied on sleeping drips and now it’s beginning not to work. I needed water. Mrs Bubbly didn’t feel my glass. I stood up and headed for the kitchen but saw myself heading to my office. I saw myself reading documents. Over the past years, I’ve found myself buried in work. I didn’t want to remember my little sister and how I had caused her death. I blamed myself every night for what had happened to her. “Don, how were you able to secure the deal with Vee Company” I asked “Alias, it’s just 3in the morning, couldn’t you wait till morning” he responded back. I knew what I was doing was wrong. I just switched off the phone. I needed someone to speak to and there was no one. I may seem tough to the media but I cry sometimes. My sister’s death haunts me terribly and I needed to help myself . I decided to draft the contract. I needed to get Evelyn to myself. She has to be mine. I kept telling myself . I have had a deep crush one her for years now.
