Chapter Twenty Seven V: The Passage of Time
"Higher promotion, a very much desired gain of power, status, and prestige. Very few know the way to proceed forward and they are stuck and can never be breached, for life. Even so, there were still occasional higher promotions here and there. The most observable aspect was that the 'leader' or the most 'outstanding' would more likely have a chance of getting a higher promotion. Those that were stuck, could seek out a higher promotion emblem stored within a kingdom's treasure vault. Those higher promotion emblem crests were exchanged with hard-earned merits from the kingdom. Of course, the best course of action was to join the military, to begin with, and survive and accumulate countless merits.
