Phoenix's eyes narrowed as he sccaned the deserted platform.The only sign of life was a lone figure leaning against a worn-out Sedan, puffing on a cigerattd. The figure's eyes met Phoenix's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other.Phoenix gut told him this was the one who had summoned him back to Raven's Peak.
With a sense of trepidation, Phoenix approached the figure, his boots echoing off the station walls.The figure dropped the cigarette and crushed it beneath his foot, a small smile playing on his lips.
'Phoenix Blackwood' the figure said, his voice low and gravelly.'Been a while.'
Phoenix eyes locked onto the stranger's face, trying to place him.
'Asher?' he asked, his voice laced with disbelief.'Asher Reed?'
The stranger nodded, a hint of a smile still on his face . ''The one and only.''
Phoenix's mind raced as he tried to process what was happening.
Asher Reed his former best friend, the one who had betrayed him in the worst possible way....
What did he want now?
Asher pushed off the car and walked towards Phoenix, his strides long and confident.
'It's been a long time,Phoenix.Five years to be exact.'
