Dear Diary - 8

August 6th, 2018,

Summer holidays have been going on for 2 weeks now. It feels weird not to see dad, but at the same time, it didn't, after all, he was never present. Mum finally came out of her room and had slowly taken her life back. She went back to work after her medical leave, and Alex successfully got a job for the summer. I, on the other hand, got stuck looking after my little sister but I do not mind, I mean it is only a few hours before Alex has to come back. And then he can take care of us while mum works before coming back from her work too, so that she can make us dinner again.

So far everything is great, though in less than a month I am back at school . I will now be in year 8. Exciting, isn't it? Hopefully, this time, I don't have the same teachers. That would be boring. I already hated my biology teacher. I don't need him again. I really hope I get Miss Daffodil. She got the nicest praise from everyone, they all loved her. my only hope is for her to teach us!

Dear diary, I went clothes shopping with mum and Layla today. She said she got a nice raise and was taking us for new clothes. We haven't had brand new clothes in ages! I bought a couple shirts that woukd go so well with that black skirt and the ruffles with it! Yes my fashion might be childish, but, whatever makes you happy and pretty! I also got a few Jean shorts just cause that's stylish!

But then, I found this amazing summer dress! it's so pretty! it's white with little strawberries! Mum said its pretty!

I'm so happy. it was nice to see mum smiling today.
