Chapter 2 CATHRYN

1374 Words
The city lights were being turned on for the evening, it was time to lock the gates. Teams of soldiers could be seen at all four entrances, pulling the heavy wooden doors closed. Once the bars were in place, there was no going in or out of the city until daybreak. As the North gate was being closed shut, a cry could be heard from across the field. “Hold!” The soldiers peered through the doors to see a hunting party returning on their horses. Quickly, they moved to open the gates again. The party came to a halt just inside the gate and dismounted. The leader of the party removed his helmet to reveal a handsome man with a strong jaw under a well-groomed goatee and striking blue eyes. He moved to shake hands with the captain at the gate. “I thank you all for allowing us reentry into the city. Once the gates are closed, I would be more than happy to treat you and your men all to a drink.” “Anything for you General Boldor.” The captain motioned for the soldiers to close the gates as the general turned back to face his team. “Alright men, stable your horses and meet me at the pub. We’re celebrating our most wonderous discovery tonight” The men all cheered in response and turned to do as they were told. Once the gates were secured for the night, the soldiers also headed in the direction of the pub. Nearby, in the shadows, a hooded figure watched as the last of the soldiers disappeared down the street. Once they were all gone, the figure crept out of the darkness and over to the wall. Just left of the gate was a door that led to the watchtower. The figure slipped through the door to find a flight of stairs. At the top, the figure secured a rope ladder around a rock, and jumped over the top of the wall. On the other side, the figured climbed down and hurried across the field into the forest. An hour or so passed before the figure reemerged from the trees and hurried back across the field. Quickly, it scaled the side of the wall, withdrew the rope, and made it back downstairs. The hooded figure then snaked it’s way in and out through the city streets until it had reached it’s destination. The figure slipped through an alley door and removed its hood, to reveal a beautiful round face under the mess of a falling blond bun. “You’re out passed curfew.” The young woman gasped as General Boldor emerged from the shadows. He crossed the room and took her chin in his hand, looking deep into her eyes. “What are you afraid of puppet? I’m not going to hurt you.” The woman pulled her face out of his grasp and turned to cross the room. “I wasn’t afraid. I was surprised. I wasn’t expecting you to be here.” “Because you were expecting me to be at the pub?” He laughed at the shock on her face. “I knew you were hiding in those shadows all along. Come on now Cathryn, who do you think I am. It’s a full moon out tonight, of course you were going to sneak out.” “If you don’t care that I was sneaking out, then why are you here?” “I wanted to make sure you were okay. And to tell you, this is the last time I’m going to let you out after dark like this.” “What do you mean let me?” Boldor laughed again and shook his head. “Cathryn. Cathryn. Cathryn. Do you really think you are so clever that you have been able to sneak in and out of the city without me knowing it? I know everything. I have eyes and ears all over this place. You’ve only made it out because I’ve let you. Because I know how important it is that you gather what you need.” He was walking around the room, picking at the herbs that were hanging to dry, as he spoke. “Unfortunately, we are going to have to a put a pin in these little projects of yours. The forest is far too dangerous these days for anyone to be sneaking out at night. Especially, my future wife.” At this, Boldor took Cathryn by the shoulders and kissed her gently on the forehead. “Now, get some rest. I hope you were able to get everything you need.” Boldor left and Cathryn was sure he was going back to the pub before he found his way into one of the w***e houses for the night. She hated the fact that her father had arranged this deal with Boldor. Sure his ranking was high and his money was stable, but he was a pompous ass of a man. And he had no problem helping himself to the ladies. He had once told her, after many many beers, that even after they are married, he is still going to go out and f**k every tiny p***y he sees and she can’t stop him. Not that she really cared to. After they were married, she was still going to go out and f**k every tiny p***y she saw too. Cathryn’s father had caught her feeling up a milkmaid earlier that year. His anger at her promiscuity had led to him having the maid kicked out of the city and practically selling Cathryn off to Boldor as his wife. The two had kept a tight watch on her ever since. But their rules and regulations couldn’t keep her from remembering the way the maid’s lips had felt when she had first shown Cathryn everything her body was capable of. Cathryn made her way to her bedroom and fell back onto her bed. She hiked her skirts up to feel how wet she had become at her memories. Cathryn began rubbing her c**t slowly and thought of the first time the maid had touched her. How she had gently rubbed circles around it. How the touch of her fingers had felt so light, as they traced the outline of her lips down to her sacred cave. Cathryn thought of how the milkmaid had then repeated the movement, but with her tongue. Her body jerked at the memory of the maid sliding up and down between her lips, in and out and her. She remembered the way the maid’s lips felt when they finally pursed around her c**t, and how the maid’s tongue as she flicked Cathryn to climax. There was a knock at her door and Cathryn threw her skirts back down as her father entered without invitation. “Good you’re back. We need to talk.” Cathryn sat up, “I hope its about your respect for my personal space.” “No.” Her father scoffed as he sat down on the foot of her bed. “I hope you were able to get a large harvest tonight as the general has informed me that you will no longer be permitted out after dark again.” “You knew about that?” “Why of course. How else do you think you would have gotten away with it?” “You mean this has all been for him?” “Cathryn, this has all been for study. And if Boldor has found a way in which he can utilize it, then why not let him? There isn’t any harm to the idea.” Cathryn stood up incredulously, “Yes there is harm. Do you have any idea how dangerous this stuff can be if put into the wrong hands? Even if put into the right hands?” “Yes, as a matter of fact, I do know how dangerous it is. Which is why I have put it in the safest hands possible. The same hands that I have trusted you too, if I recall correctly.” “You’re correct alright. They are the same hands you gave me to.” “Then I no longer see an issue here.” “But there is an issue here. Father, this stuff is a poison. We should have never made more than we needed of it to study. I don’t thi-”  “Cathryn enough,” her father barked as he stood up. “I will hear nothing more on this matter. You will start batching out the new harvest tomorrow. Goodnight.”
