Chapter 39: Kill the Boss- Part 1

The equipment list showed that Ivan was at the top.

"What the hell?!?" Ivan exclaimed.

"What? What happened?” The team heard Ivan's cry.

Ivan pointed to the list with a trembling finger and whispered, "The equipment list."

The entire team immediately checked the list.

"Holy s**t! Ivan? You are leading the list with two equipment? I knew you are a genius!" Leo commented.

"Two pieces? And the first two?” Left-handed love couldn’t believe his eyes.

"Oh, Bishop, you’re my hero," FallenAngel seized the chance to suck up to Ivan.

"Ivan, you’re the best!" Claire jumped up in celebration.

Ivan, "Yeah, forget it. See? Left-handed love is also on the list! Congratulations!"

A bitter smile showed on Left-handedLove’s face, "Yeah, the last one. I won’t celebrate just yet!” 

It might be an honor for most people to land at the top of the leaderboard, however, Ivan had a totally different feeling about it, especially at this stage. He wasn’t concerned about the glory, he wanted equipment or gold coin or anything that he would be able to exchange for money. Not to mention the fact that he wouldn’t be able to play the game quietly and stay hidden since everyone was aware that he had precious equipment. He assumed all players would begin to look for the player named Bishop.  

Filled with the hope that he could conceal his name Ivan searched for the option but there was no way to hide his name in Rivalry. Thinking about his class, Poison-ace Priest, Ivan realized that he had more confidence to deal with arising situations than he thought, “Nevermind! I bet no one will dare to provoke me!”

Suddenly, Ivan remembered that the system message stated he was the third player to get the seal. He had to check to see the other players were.

1.Oregon (County)——Viscount Whizzurd

2.Frost Town (Town)——Baron Bilcifer

3.Leaf Town (Town)——Baron Bishop

It turned out the title and the lordship of land were included in the list. Ivan wondered what Whizzurd and Oregon County, he was intrigued by what kind of mission he had to complete to get such a high title. Still staring at the list, Ivan guessed that there were strict rules to get a title and lordship in the game since the list was so short. When Ivan continued to search through the different lists he saw that there was one for Pets but there were no names on the list yet. 

As soon as Ivan closed the list section, he saw a message from Left-handedLove, “Hey guys! Do we want to take a break, or do we want to blow up the boss’s nest now?” 

“Let’s not waste time. The boss is waiting for us!” Ivan replied, thinking of his dad. He didn’t want to drag the mission out any longer than he needed to.

"What about you guys?" Left-handed love asked the others. 

Leo, Claire, and FallenAngel glanced at each other, then nodded to Left-handedLove.

"Okay, let’s go."

The team moved forward deeper into the forest. Some mobs showed up along their way but none of them compared to the Captain Centaur.

About 30 minutes later, the five of them finally reached the peak of the hill. Left-handedLove, lying on the edge of the hill, pointed to the lowest point of the basin, "Have you seen the camp there? I believe that is the nest. Last time, I met this boss next to that camp but I was killed before I have a chance to look closer. I am pretty sure that the boss is at least at the Silver level. With you guys and your precious equipment, I believe we can take that him down today!”

Ivan looked down at the camp. As the Centaur Sharpshooter holding a bow moved to his side, Ivan immediately said, "Let’s make a plan first. Have you seen that captain? I believe he’s at Super level. I don’t want to be killed before the boss comes out.”

"I agree," Left-handed love nodded.

An idea suddenly came to Ivan, “Look, you see, we can…” After explaining to the team, he concluded, “Clear?”

“Clear!” Everyone cheered. 

After ensuring everyone was ready, the whole team moved and crept to the entrance of the Centaur camp. Claire made a gesture to the team and then took the lead, moving towards the camp. Unfortunately, she was spotted when she was about fifty meters away from the camp. She didn’t panic, she just pulled out her Frost Arrows then with several shots at the camp, all Centaur mobs realized they were being invaded and chased after her. 

When Claire saw all Centaurs approaching she ran in the opposite direction of the team. She was aware that she had to do whatever she could to earn as much time for the team as possible. 

“Now that Claire has got the Centaurs out of the way, let’s go!” Leo yelled then held up his knife, rushing excitedly toward the Centaur camp, with Ivan following behind. 

With the mobs out of the camp, it looked empty as the four remaining team members ran toward the largest camp tent. It was about ten meters high, and there was a huge mob standing in the middle of it, holding a fist-sized bead. 

“Holy s**t! It is huge!” Ivan’s eyes almost popped out of his head but nobody would question his reaction. 

The boss standing in front of them was at least five meters tall, and his head was massive. The Centaur was covered with a bright silver armor holding a giant sickle, sending a clear message that he was not be messed with. 

Centaur Reaper-Skullshatterer (Silver)

Level: 22

ATK: 121

HP: 3500

DEF: 45

Profile: Skullshatterer is one of the most outstanding warriors of Centaur. As the owner of Hyde Camp, it is known for its ferocity. Skullshatterer is at Silver level but could advance to Gold level at any point in time.

Skill:

Skullshatterer Break: ATK+20; CD, 1 minute.

Skullshatterer s***h: Freeze opponent 2 seconds; CD, 3 minutes.

"Have you seen its stats? They are incredible! High attack plus high control skill…guys, we may be in trouble," Ivan was a bit worried.

When Skullshatterer saw people breaking into his territory, he coldly said, “Intruders? I haven’t met such bold humans for a long time!”

Skullshatterer put the large blue bead down on the table behind him and then waved the giant sickle at the group standing in front of him. He roared, “I will now send you to see the Lord of Death!”
