Chapter 21- Win an Outright Victory

Left-handed Love was gratified to see Ivan also still alive and nodded happily.

SovereignKing turned pale when Left-handed Love appeared in the distance. He sped to side-text to say that the people that should have kept Left-handed Love under control. He found out that they had all died and were sent back to town, “Theron, you always were a tough nut. Even six Warriors couldn’t take you out.”

“You and your brother were always good-for-nothing. What else do you do except bullying? I’ll remember what you have done today and make sure to pay you double back the next time we meet!” Left-handed love replied faintly.

“You have no right to comment on our way of doing things. You beat me this time, but I’m certain our next meeting will be a tragedy for you,” SovereignKing sneered.

“Humph, let’s wait and see!” Left-handed Love turned away and ended the conversation.

“Hey, mate, why are you leaving? Save me!” Ivan was stupefied to see Left-handed Love leaving.

“Your friend obviously doesn’t care. Though I don’t know why you have so much magic supplying your blood, but a poor bugger will never triumph over the Sovereign. You will die with me,” SovereignKing snickered.

“Really? Humph,” Ivan retorted confidently.

Five minutes later.

Seeing three more Sovereign men teleported back to town, SovereignKing felt depressed.

“Why haven’t you died yet?” he groaned.

Ivan gave a hard laugh.

Ten minutes later.

SovereignKing found only two of his man remained. He waved at them in anger. “You’re dying anyhow. Give me all your Health Potion,” he ordered. The two people didn’t dare to disobey his order and immediately gave him the potions before they were teleported back to town. 

Fifteen minutes later.

SovereignKing used up all the Health Potion, but he saw Ivan still at ease with a healthy replenishment of blood. “Fine, you win. From now on we are irreconcilable enemies. The Sovereign will slay you on sight,” he stormed in despair.

His constant repetition of threats had blunted Ivan’s response to them, so he just said faintly, “Get lost!”

“Ah! I hate you!” At last, SovereignKing unwillingly faded away. 

Ivan breathed a sigh of relief. “Good deeds come back to help you, and evil deeds come back to haunt you. Karma is real!” he laughed. Today I finally avenged myself. SovereignKing is nothing more than this. In front of me, an intelligent man, he fell to pieces!

“Well said!” At that very moment, Left-handed Love appeared on the stone wall once again. He cast a rattan rope and hailed warmly, “Come on up!”

Ivan was touched when he realized Left-handed Love had gone to make the rope and had not left him behind. A number of the Sovereign members had dropped their belongings when they died. Ivan swept all of them into his backpack without carefully counting them and then walked to the stone wall cautiously. Surely, he wouldn’t run foolishly like SovereignWolf and hasten his own death. Rather, he used Heal to restore Health in the process of walking.

He got to the rope, held on tight to climb up the wall, and out of danger. The two exchanged a smile and a pat on the shoulder. Nothing needed to be said.

SovereignKing came back to life in Pioneer Town about ten miles distant away Leaf Town. When SovereignWolf saw him appear at the resurrection spot, he exclaimed in surprise, “Bro, you died? What about Bishop and Left-handed Love?”

“They were still alive just before my death!” SovereignKing answered with a livid expression.

SovereignWolf punched a big tree beside him with his blue-veined fist. “They piss me off. I failed to kill them off and also dropped my ax!”

“Bro, it’s okay. We’ll beat them next time,” SovereignKing tried to console SovereignWolf.

“This time we suffered heavy losses. Due to hostile PK we were collectively pulled down a level. What’s more annoying is our present state,” SovereignWolf said angrily.

“What state?” SovereignKing hastily checked his own attributes.

Poisoning: You burst into an unknown black pool. Invaded and poisoned by pool water, the body is in poor health. ATK, HP, SPD decrease by 50%. It lasts 72 hours.

“f**k!”

Ivan clicked on Accept.

After they added each other, Ivan asked, “Mate, what’s your plan?”

Left-handed Love thought for a moment before he answered, “I won’t return to Novice Village. The mob there are too easy to defeat. I can’t get much from them. I’m going to Loda.”

“Coincidentally, I’m going to Loda to complete my mission, too. Let’s go together.” Ivan was joyful.

Left-handed Love agreed with enthusiasm.

“I’m in a Poison state.” Ivan told Left-handed Love gloomily as soon as he realized he had the same problem as the Sovereign players. 

“Let me see… Well, it’s all right. You won’t die. Let me be your bodyguard on our journey,” Left-handed Love said in earnest.

“Great! Thank you! Let’s getting going. I have been delayed for too long and my mission will end in about twelve hours so I need to hurry.”

Neither said anything along the way. The Poisoning indeed had a strong effect but the part that annoyed Ivan the most was the 50% decrease in speed. Two steps were only equivalent to one step, which increased their journey time significantly. Fortunately, they didn’t cross paths with any high-level creeps on their travels. 

“Congratulations! You’ve found the outskirts of Loda. AP+20.”

Their field of vision was far from Flower Valley. According to the system prompt, they had reached the outskirts of Loda and Loda was only a short distance away. On the Rivalry map, the unexplored places are cloaked in mist. Thus, if a player hadn’t been to a place, they wouldn’t know how far away it was, or what monsters and resources there were. The mysterious feeling was to give players a sense of fun and adventure.

Ivan shielded his eyes against the dazzling sun and looked out upon a huge shadow behind the hills. He trotted onto the nearest hilltop and looked down. The view in sight stunned him.

Not far ahead was the legendary Loda.
