Tufts of snow-white fur peeked out from under his navy-blue uniform and glistened in the unearthly glow that emanated from Meridius.
He greeted Serus with a look of contempt.
“Well,” Niveus began in a dry, sarcastic tone. “I guess it would only seem logical to conclude that all of our clandestine meetings, Meridius, will take place in the presence of a reckless drunkard.”
Serus prickled at the accusation. “Wait a minute, who are you calling a reckless drunkard, you arrogant fluff ball?”
