Chapter 9Riley woke up with a headache. It turned into a throbbing migraine when she rolled on her side and squinted at the digital clock on her bedside table. It read six-thirty. It was her first day at Aditus High School. She was both excited and nervous. She rolled out of bed, wishing that she hadn't stayed up until two o'clock in the morning watching stand-up comedy on YouTube, and clambered towards the bathroom. The door was closed.
