“So… everything’s fine between you two now?” Romilly’s voice giggled through the phone, teasing and light.
“I’d say it’s better than fine,” I replied, unable to stop the ridiculous grin tugging at my lips.
“Oh my God, Ami. You’re falling for him!” Her laughter burst through the line, and heat surged to my cheeks.
“I wouldn’t go that far,” I mumbled, though even to my own ears, I sounded unconvincing.
