THERON POV Ami's eyes were the color of summer skies, soft and stormy all at once. I watched the blush creep over her cheeks, her lips parted ever so slightly, her breathing quickening with every passing second. Her fingers trembled where they tangled behind my neck want clashed with hesitation. She wanted me. I could feel it in the way her body leaned into mine, yet I also saw the fear that hadn’t entirely left her. And I couldn’t risk her bolting again.
