Jason’s POV I stared at the patient chart on my computer screen, rubbing the back of my neck as I tried to make sense of the numbers. The case wasn’t particularly complicated, but my mind had been drifting more than usual lately. I sighed and leaned back in my chair, cracking my knuckles out of habit.
