Jason’s POV The next day, I was talking to my mother on the phone when Cara walked into my office. “Hey, I’m going to the hospital to pick my things, then I’m going to the farmers market to get some few things.” She said. I paused from talking to my mother, covering the receiver with my hand, before asking. “What? Are you sure you’re fine enough for that?” I asked. “The shopping I mean.” She nodded and I shook my head. I didn’t like this. “Why don’t you just wait for me while I finish up here with Mom, then we can go together.” I said. Shaking her head, she said. “No, Jason. But thank you.
