Jason’s POV Something was wrong, I could tell, but I didn’t know what, and throughout dinner, she kept trying to smile so much at some point she was wincing. I wanted to believe it was because she was tired, but I was no fool. I knew my woman well enough to know this was something more. But I kept it to myself until we were done eating. “Daddy? Will you come tuck me in?” Daisy asked me as I started to grab the plates off the table and I nodded. “Yes, honey. But you need to go have a shower and brush your teeth, then I’ll come up to tuck you in. I need to help Aunt Cara clear the plates.” I said and she nodded as well. She walked around the table to where Cara stood, and with a smile, she said. “Good night, Aunt Cara. I’ll see you in the morning.” “Good night, pumpkin.” Cara said
