CHAPTER 14

After the twins' secret mission to make Jake fall for Eve, the latter did every single she could do to make the guy fall for her. They have decided to make the move of "pull and push". It means Eve will pretend like she is done for Jake. At first, the man doesn't seem to mind but as he sees Eve trying to stay away from him for a long time, he decided to ask Ava about it.

"Hey, Ava." Jake tried to get her attention. She turn to him.

"What?" She asked him but the guy seemed to be still hesitating.

"About Eve, ah...How is she?" He was embarrassed to ask.

Ava raised her eyebrow on the guy before looking at where Eve is hanging out. She is with her entourage but this time with several guys around. Because Eve's attitude seems to change for the better, several guys are already flocking around her. Many guys actually liked Eve, its just that she is a bully so they do not want to be beside her but as the girl changes, they now can flirt with her without any hesitations.

"I think she's doing good. As you can see..." Ava smiled sweetly before looking back at Jake with hidden annoyance.

That's what you get, boy.

Jake look devastated with her answer as he stared at Eve's direction. He is now being divided to know he knew from what he really feels. He is conflicted why he feels so mad about Eve flirting with some guys when he liked Ava.

Ava secretly smiled before glancing at her sister. She text-ed her.

Way to go, Eve. He is rather in a complicated situation now. See? I told you." She text-ed and saw Eve looking at their direction giving her a knowing glance and secretly peek at Jake.

Ava didn't care afterwards. This is already their problem, not hers. At the moment, she is also having a problem.

"You what, bro, if you can't take that Eve is enjoying some time with some guys, why not talk to her instead of her sister?" Crawd suggested.

"Yup." Gracie also said.

It might sound ridiculous but for some reason, Gracie started being with them several days ago. She is dating Crawd. Their relationship is complicated. Gracie knew that Crawd likes Ava but she still requested to date Crawd. The guy seemed to be free and wanted to move on from Ava so he didn't rejected her. He is trying to move on by Gracie.

The first time that Ava was informed about this, she was shocked. Who is Gracie? She is the protagonist who will fall for Jake not Crawd. But she is thankful, this way, everything would be settled in place.

Jake look so devastated before sighing. He still do not want to believe that he is falling already for Eve. He cannot differentiate his admiration for Ava for love, in the first place, so it might take time before he will realize that he actually likes Eve in a more serious way than Ava.

The three couldn't believe Jake as they just let him be. They went to their own classes and decided to see each other after classes.

After classes, Jake, Crawd and Ava saw each other first.

"Where is Gracie?" Ava asked Crawd but he just shrugged making Ava sighed. She feels bothered by the two's relationship.

"And Eve?" She ask to Jake but he just ignore her. "Okay, fine. Whatever." She frustrating exclaimed.

At the entrance of the school, students are flocking with a guy waiting for someone while standing beside his expensive car.

All girls are drooling for the scenery. The guy looks like in his early 20's.

"Who's that?"

"I don't know! He's been there for minutes. Maybe, he's waiting for someone!"

"Who is he waiting for?"

"Oh! What a lovely car!"

"He looks familiar!"

"All handsome guys are familiar to you!"

"No, I am telling the truth!"

"Adam Finley!" That was Eve looking at her sister's fiance. They knew each other. She is with her friends when they saw the guy waiting. She walk near him.

"Are you waiting for Ava?" She ask him. The man seemed to not like to answer but when he saw her face, there was a sudden warmth before coldness invade his expression again. He thought of Ava with this girl's face.

Who is she? He thought to himself before a scene appeared in his mind. Ah, the twin sister.

"Yeah. Where is she?" He ask her.

"Maybe, she's still inside. Wait, I'll give you her phone number." She said before showing Ava's number in her contacts. The man nodded before copying the number and dialing it.

"Hello?" The other side ask as it takes the call. Adam heard that sweet familiar voice which made him smile ignoring the people around him.

Eve knew that she is not needed anymore which is why she exited silently. As her friends ask, she just ignored them.

I'm sorry girls. That man is my sister's. Better be luck next time to all of you. She thought to herself.

"Hi Ava." Adam replied making Ava, on the other side, stop and stare out of nowhere.

This voice... She thought to herself.

"Adam?" She confirmed.

"Yes, Ava?" The man on the other line ask her mak8ng her shock.

"How did you get my number? No! Why are you calling?" She excitedly ask without her knowing that she is acting like that.

"Got your number from your sister. I'm here outside." He explained.

"Eve?" She ask.

"Mmm." Adam answered.

"Eve?" Jake then ask as he heard her saying his love of his life's name.

"You're outside? At school?" She asked surprised.

"Mmm. I am waiting for you." After that, without any second thoughts, Ava run towards the school gate then seeing Adam despite the girls circling him.

Why did I even run? She ask to herself feeling awkward but when Adam look at her before smiling.

"You run?" He ask on the phone for they are still meters away.

"Mmm." She smiled. "I run to you."
