GOAL: Female Lead, No Matter What

CHAPTER 1

Racelle blink several times before caressing her temples which are suffering from a heavy pain. She groaned as memories brush through her.

“How are you, Racelle?” A voice questioned her.

“Ah…You know what, why don’t you introduce yourself. Aren’t you being rude?” She complained to the voice.

“Oh, I am sorry. I forgot that there are some etiquette humans should follow. I, currently, do not have any names. Would you like to name me, Racelle?” The voice suggested.

Racelle think of it really hard. What should she name this voice?

It should be a neutral one because this voice doesn’t really have any gender.

“Ah! Alex! Yes! I will name you, ‘Alex’. From now on, your name is Alex!” She excitedly blurted out like some women naming their newborn babies.

“If that is what you want, Racelle.” The voice answered with its usual voice.

“So, where am I?” She asked the voice.

As soon as she ask this, memories of the previous owner flashes in front of her eyesight…

The body which she is currently residing to is Ava Walker. She is one of the legitimate daughter of one of the most influential businessman, Bill Walker. She has a twin sister, Eve Walker, the favorite daughter of her parents. They treated Eve better than her for Ava has a scar across her face and is a black sheep in the family. Ava doesn't talk and doesn't fight for her rights.

If Racelle is not mistaken, this is the story of one of her favorite Cinderella-based story, One Night Romance In Seattle. The protagonist is Gracie Walker, the adopted daughter of the Walker family. Gracie was once named as Gracie Jones, she is the only daughter of Bill Walker's best buddy, Zhacary Jones, a businessman like Bill. Jones business is actually more stable than the Walker but both Zhacary and his wife, Meaghan Jones, were killed in a car accident. Having no more related family to the Jones, Walker decided to take the only survivor, Gracie Jones and give her his name.

But this is just a frame to what is really happening behind the scenes. Gracie was treated by Bill's wife, Heaven Walker so bad. Eve, one of her stepsisters, protecting her image as a good person is secretly giving Gracie a hard time. Eve is a two-faced girl, she can smile at you while stabbing your back. And for Ava, she is actually really afraid to her sister and parents. She doesn't want to be part of anything so turned a blind eye to what is happening.

Now, the story continues when Eve had an arranged marriage to a guy named Jake Hudson. But the guy doesn't really care for her even if she is beautiful and sweet. One day, while the Walker family is holding a ball for their soon marriage, Jake saw Gracie and fell in love for the first time at the lady. But another thing happened, Ava fell in love with a man, Crawd Williams, the best buddy of Jake Hudson but the guy liked her twin sister, Eve.

With these twisted events, Eve was left by Jake for Gracie making her family get angry with Gracie causing them to make things hard for her. But of course, with the help of Jake, they discovered that Gracie's parents died because of Bill. Because of this, Bill was imprisoned while Heaven, Ava and Eve were left to be judged by everyone's opinion. Several news were brought out how they mistreated Gracie but thanks to Crawd, he saved Eve and Heaven causing his friendship with Jake to vanish. Crawd didn't even help out Ava because of their complicated relationship with the black ship. Because of this, Ava made her move to make Eve be brought to her own end as she get r***d by several men. After knowing this, Crawd searched for Ava and ended her by giving her to his men and eventually die while Eve will suicide for her shame as she honor her image so much. Heaven will be left then by too much debt and by the thought that her favorite daughter died, her husband in prison, she ended her life also. This way, Gracie and Jake will live happy ever after while Crawd will leave the country and will never appear again in front of them.

“What you just saw are the memories of the previous owner, Racelle. From now on, you are known to be Ava. Would you like to start the game now?” The voice asked her. She laughed before answering anxiously.

“Of course!”

After knowing all of these stuffs, Racelle got the whole point of Ava's personality. Her scar was actually because of Eve. Originally, she has more beautiful face than Eve but the girl pushed her when they were in the mountain for a trip causing a branch piercing right across her face. She wanted to fix it but Eve made her think that nothing can heal the scar, which is a stupid thing for Racelle.

At the moment, Ava just woke up after the incident of her face. In the hospital room, no one is around. But she doesn't get why her parents hate her. No, it is not hate. Bill is not that intimate with anyone even to his wife, Heaven. If she is correct, Zhacary is still not dead. Ava smiled because of this.

Right now, she has to be close to her father to have his support and eventually stop him from killing the Jones. With this, Ava will be out of danger and be able to keep the family free from bad things.

"Because to be a protagonist, I must have a good family." She said to herself.

“I see that you have set your goal already, Racelle. Unfortunately, if you desire to replace the protagonist, the world story will be unbalanced and it will try to eliminate you. Would you still want to be the female lead?” The voice appeared suddenly.

Racelle laughs hysterically before responding.

“And? Do I go back to my own world?” She ask while laughing.

“No, Racelle. You will transfer to another story. The system doesn’t have anything against replacing the female lead but the story itself will try to follow the original plot and your mission is to complete the story plot. Would you still want to be the female lead?”

Racelle giggles before answering.

“It’s the reason why I am here! I will be the female lead and at the same time complete this story! What do you say, Alex?”

“If that is what you want, Racelle. I shall make, ‘being the female lead’, your secondary mission.”

A notification appeared in front of her saying that she has noted a secondary mission of replacing the female lead. Racelle couldn’t help but grin evilly.

Now, thinking about Eve, she cannot help but sighed. Ava is thinking whether she will remove the scar or what. Now, an idea popped out of her head as she called for the system.

"Alex..."

A mechanical sound like appears before a certain voice was produced.

"Yes, Racelle." The voice said.

"Do you have a medicine there that would make my scar heal like normal without leaving any trace of some kind of magic. I would want to preserve this beauty's look or even enhance it." She asked.

"The store couldn’t be unlock at the moment. You cannot access the items. But you can have these things." The voice answered which made her eyebrows cross.

“ I can? How?" She asked.

"You have to complete several side missions to earn points to buy several things."

Ava smirked before nodding.

"Then, what is the side mission?" She asked it.

Suddenly, a message popped out of her eyesight.

Side Mission: Be close to your father.

“Good luck, Racelle. Are you ready for the side mission?”

“Yup! Always ready.”

Ava laugh because of this. This is exactly what she is just thinking awhile ago. Suddenly, her room's door opened and revealed a sturdy looking man which she knew as Bill Walker.

As the man entered, he seemed to be surprised as he saw his daughter that was in coma sitting pretty in her bed.

"So, you have recovered." He said after collecting himself.

The girl then waved sweetly at him which surprised him more. If he was correct, this daughter of his was scared of him and never treats anyone this intimately. Ignoring the bandage covering her whole head, the girl looks energetic and bubbly.

"How are you?" He asked the girl.

The girl then just shrugged and speak, though it was not clear due to the bandage also covering her mouth, he still understand.

"Still alive." The little girl answered which shocked him.

"I didn't know that you can joke." He stated making the both of them just stare at each other.

'Nice.' Ava thought to herself.
