GOAL: Female Lead, No Matter What

CHAPTER 4

Ava decided to rest after her encounter with her sister. In her dreams, she saw several clips or images. How she fell on an abyss of nowhere, how she slowly turn her head just to see Eve looking at her while she is falling with an ecstatic look gleaming in her eyes. Her heart beats faster than usual. She felt a shiver seeping through her. Her hands reach out for something when she heard a loud thud and she woke up.

Looking at the window which is still open now turn black, she reminded herself that it is already night time. She then feel how her body is flooded by sweat. She walk into her bathroom and carefully took a shower. She changed her clothes before going out.

“Hey Alex, I keep on seeing Ava’s perspective when she was murdered by Eve!” She talk to Alex.

“She was not murdered, Racelle. She still made it alive after that.” Alex answered.

“It’s an attempt murder!”

While walking along the hallway, a maid suddenly went up as soon as she step down from the first staircase. The maid looked surprised before walking to her.

"Miss Ava, Master invites you for dinner. They are already at the dinning room." The maid informed her. Ava nodded before walking down as she follows the maid who guides her into the room.

From her memory line, this is the first time that the man actually had a dinner with just one of them. This is a very unique interaction. As Ava enters the room, Heaven, Bill and Eve gradually look at her. She decided to takes a seat near Bill. The latter look at her before signing the maids to bring out the foods their chef prepares.

While eating, no one is really speaking. Only the clangs of the plates with knives and fork and be heard.

"How are you?" Bill suddenly asked. Ava instinctively answer.

"I'm okay. Recovering." She said as the man replied for a single nod. After that no one speak again. Ava saw how half of her food is almost gone. She secretly glimpse at Bill's plate to see only one fourth of food there. Ava knew that this is going to be the last time she might have dinner with him so she made a decision.

"Dad, I need to talk to you later." She said which made Heaven raised her eyebrow a little, Eve to bring out a surprised and scared expression to Bill who seemed curious.

The man nodded before finishing his food.

"I will see you then. After you finish your food, go to my library." He said before going out of the room.

In Bill's office where he and his secretary reside, the man, for the first time is wearing a smile.

"President is in good mood?" His secretary asked him. Bill nodded before looking at his secretary an excited look.

"For the first time, Ava, the one who doesn't really care about me, that daughter of mine, wants to talk to me." His secretary laughs.

His President is a completely different person from what others think of him. He loves his family, its just that he doesn't know how to express himself.

"President, this would be a good chance for your relationship to young miss to get better. You should treat her well." He reminded the man.

He nodded before looking at his mirror and fixing himself a little. He turned around to his secretary.

"Do I look good?" He asked which made him laugh again.

"Sir, it is all about your way of treating her. If you want to be closer to your daughter, why not treat her to tomorrow in malls or somewhere."

Bill was about to say something when they heard a knock and a voice announcing herself.

"Father?" It was Ava and she is currently peeking at the door.

Bill hurriedly change into his formal expression before gesturing her to go inside. Ava then enters the room and look at his secretary.

"This is Secretary Jag." Bill introduced the man after noticing her quiet question by her eyes. "You can go now." Bill told Jag. Secretary Jag then smiled at Ava first before leaving the room. "So, what is it that you want to talk to?" He asked his daughter.

Ava gape at Bill before sighing. She clasp both of her hands down in front of her before intently looking at him.

"Father, after my accident I have decided that maybe we should be aware that our relationship is in a bad condition. And we need to repair it." She started.

Bill, inside his head, he is enjoying her daughter stating these things to him like some report. He finds it funny how they interact with each other.

"I...Thought so, too." He replied which shocked Ava.

"We should do something about this." She continues.

Bill nodded before looking at Ava. He is basically waiting for her suggestion even if he already have something in his mind.

"Shall we have a date?" She asked. Bill stared at Ava for a long time before nodding again.

"That's a great idea." He said.

In Ava's head, a notification popped out again.

“Oh! I am progressing, Alex!” No reply was voiced out. “I see you are being a bitch.” She muttered.

The next day, Bill and Ava went out. They had lunch first at a first class restaurant and went shopping for clothes before watching the cinema. Although the whole day, they are kind of awkward, it was not the same when they had dinner and talked about Ava's interest on it. With this, Bill had a better liking to his daughter, Ava.

"I will take a course in college that focuses more on business. Dad, it would be good to get Business Management, right?" She started the conversation. Bill is ecstatic to hear this. Now, he doesn't have to worry about who will get the company in the future.

"Uhmm, you should study well then. I will try to find you a position in our company right now for you to have an experience." He immediately acted.

All the way, they still talk about are her future plans and business. Bill guides her and even gives her suggestions for every move she will make.

"By the way, I was invited to this party. You should attend with me."

With this words, Ava knew that Bill already treats her as a family. A notification again popped out.

You have accomplished the goal to be closer to the father. Collect the price.

Under that notification is the price with the magic words, Recovery 100% and Beautification 30%. Ava collected her price as soon as possible and silently grin.

I am half way on being the female lead! Hahaha!

“You still have long way to go, Racelle.” Alex said which she ignored.
