CHAPTER 5

From that day on, Bill and Ava's relationship get better. Bill decided to openly make Ava be with him wherever event he is. He is also letting her go in and out of their company. All of his employees already knew about their boss' daughter, Ava, who will certainly be their future CEO in the future for they knew that their boss doesn't have any son and his other daughter doesn't seem to be interested in business. This way, they treated Ava as someone in a higher position already. They can see Bill preparing her daughter in handling the company by showing her how the company works. He lets her be with an employee from different management everyday for her to have a background on every operations their company does from the lowest position to the highest as he also let her see what he is doing.

One day, Bill suddenly gave her an invitation to a business party. All elite people in the society will be invited. And Ava was also invited personally. This could be the effect of Bill making her stay by his side all the time and secretly announcing her position that is why many people are now eyeing on her, too.

"I've already prepared you a gown. You must now know what kind of event is there, right? This is a common thing that happens here. People tries to make events to have some connections but you have to be careful with your actions, too." Bill reminded her.

Ava nodded before smiling. She completely understand. And with the help of the system inside her head, she also knew that this is the trigger point for Bill and Zachary to have some misunderstanding.

As soon as Ava went to her room, she opened the box where Bill placed her gown to see a beautiful champagne mermaid style gown from Sherri Hill. Ava smiled as she see the dress. But she was disturbed when she heard a shocked sigh. She look over her room's door to see Eve gleaming at her gown.

"Ah! What a cute dress!" Eve said before going in and touching the gown when Ava closed the box immediately making Eve's hand trapped and hurt. "Ah! Ouch! That hurt!" She glared at Ava before smiling. Realizing she let out an image out of her character completely.

"You know what, I have a better gown designed by Alexander Wang and it is an exclusive dress for me unlike yours that is probably have many alike designs around." She said while smiling sweetly.

This girl!

Ava smiled, too, before opening the box and acting like it is something so precious.

"I don't really care. You see, this is a gift from father. I think this is the first time he gave me a gift. You, did you received anything from him?" She innocently asked Eve making the latter contorted her face from jealousy and hatred. Ava is now secretly laughing while still wearing her curious expressions.

Eve laughs before joking that Bill is probably so busy that he didn't thought he still have a wife and another daughter before leaving her room. Ava sighed after this. She just cannot be in the same room with that girl.

At night, Ava and Bill already went to the place where the party is being held. As they entered, they are welcomed with tables around designed with flower arrangements and plates. There is a red carpet and the lights glowed violet lights. It's not too dark nor too light. Many people with unlike atmosphere around them walk side by side. Prominent people settled with each other, it is such a unique place.

They were already surrounded by people without her knowing afterwards. She doesn't really care when a notification appeared in front of her sight again.

“A turning point is coming. This is one of the reasons why Bill will murder the Jones. You should stop this, Racelle.” Alex told her. She nodded as a reply.

Mission: The female lead's parents are approaching. With a wrong decision you make, you will lead your father to do something that will make him go down in the future. To protect your father, protect him and his intentions.

A couple then appeared. The woman has a dirty blonde hair is big curls and in a flowy shining dark blue dress and the main in black with dark blue accent on the edges. Both look handsome and beautiful as expected from the parents of the female lead.

"Ah! Walkers!" Zachary exclaimed.

Bill nodded to Zachary as a greetings while Ava maintained her smiles. Zachary then smiled too while Meaghan didn't even change her business smile as usual.

While the two men started talking, Ava started judging the two. There is something wrong with the couple. Its like she is in front of the television seeing two characters that are too good to be a real person.

"Oh, and this is your daughter? Ava Walker, right?" Zachary then change the topic to her. Ava didn't have the any choice but to look at the man and smiled. But the man didn't let her do anything else afterwards as he started talking about his good daughter.

"My Gracie have many friends. She even befriended the daughter of the Williams!" He looked at her after saying this. "Do you know the daughter of the Williams, Ava? You should, right?" He asked which slightly made her face grin.

Ah, so, this is what they are like...

Ava smiled before shaking her head as a disapproval.

"I am always stuck in libraries and never really go to clubs at night so... I am really sorry but... No." She answered which surprised the three.

Bill secretly smiled. He has a daughter with some sharp tongue. It is good to know that she can defend herself with these kind of people.

While Zachary and Meaghan are now wearing a hateful expression but the woman recovered fast as she immediately countered her attack.

"Oh, as expected, what can we hear from a Walker. I have to say, Heaven did a great thing treating her daughters...Really fair." She said knowing that the girl in front of her never really received a parental love from her mother.

"Well, that is to say, I am here so there is nothing really my wife could do but stand aside." Bill countered.
